Sao Feng stood on deck, arms crossed, stance aggressive as he watched his men herd the slave girls on board. Piercing eyes scrutinized the proceedings, nothing escaping his notice. While he didn't mind the men if they got a bit rowdy around the merchandise, anything that might cause harm would earn violence and vitriolic reprimand. After a few attempts of stupidity, the pirates finally settled down to the job at hand, mindful that Sao Feng definitely meant business.

Johanna was shaking, and made a nearly suicidal attempt to grab a gun from one of the pirates holding her. Luckily, her attempts were merely seen as more strugglling to escape, and she was thrust aside without excessive violence. It was then that she saw the captain.

Sorelli stared, wide-eyed, at the ship and the people on it. There was something frighteningly familiar about all this, but for the life of her she couldn't figure out why. Whatever it was, she didn't want to know.
She tried to move in Johanna's direction, but got nothing but a brutal shove for her troubles.

"Move it!" Sao Feng snapped at his men.
"Delay is not an option!"

The man terrified her, but Johanna could not help but be awed. At the same time, she felt a horrible sinking fear growing by the moment. This was not like the asylum had been. There might be no way that Raoul could find her.

Not wanting to incur the anger of their captain, the pirates stepped up their efforts, eventually finishing up their job.
The girls were now all huddled in a room down in a compartment in the cargo hold, locked in. On the other side stood pirate guards, with instructions to quickly (but non-lethally) put down any disturbance that might arise.

Johanna huddled in a corner, looking like she was trying to shield herself from everyone.
"I'll see Raoul on Sunday, on Sunday" she whispered to herself.

Sorelli stared at the door as though it held all the answers.
"...Australia..." she said dully.

That word seemed to bring Johanna back to reality.
"My father was sent there. He's probably dead by now."

She finally tore her eyes away from the door, turning to Johanna.
"I only know about it from rumor."

A small shudder went through her.
"That it's lawless, and populated only by criminals. Pirates..."

"And they're going to- we'll be-"
She shook her head.
"No, I'll take a poison first!"

Johanna started to sob, but tried to keep herself together.
"This can't be happening, I just got married!"
