*Wild looked worried.*
"Then you are in danger, Isa. And so are John and Marie. And a lot of other innocent people."
*She leaned back in her bed in frustration.*
"How can I protect so many people at the same time?"
*Still weakened from her wounds, she shut her eyes, feeling the tears burning under her eyelids.*
"I don't want anything to happen to any of you."

"Wild what you need to do is rest, there is absolutely no reason for you to be stressing yourself out right now." Isa sat down next to Amras with a smile "This city needs more than you right now, it needs the lord" sighing she flipped through Wilds records idly "you just watch out for you and your own, don't worry about anyone else, okay?"

Wild rubbed her temples. Now that the effects of the medicines were starting to wear off, she started feeling like she was hit by a large sledgehammer.
"You're probably right."
She sighed and looked real worried.
"But still, I can't help for worrying about you all. Are you sure you will be okay?"

"I've survived this long and I've got a better chance of fighting off any evil that comes at me... I've got military training" she winked and looked to Amras "dear I think maybe you should go home, or get a motel-"
Amras shook his head "I am staying here until Wild is well, then I will be taking her back to Lorien."
Isa sighed, there was no use arguing with him "Very well then, Wild if there's anything you need just hit the button; but you know that." Isa stood up and smiled at both of them before leaving.

Wild smiled warmly up to Isa.
"Thanks mom. I will do as you say. As always. Promise me you'll be careful with those carnivores struttin' around, eh? If you ever need my help, just think of me, and I'll be with you in a heartbeat."

Isa laughed as she walked through the door.
"She is a good woman" Amras smiled.

Wild smiled and looked after Isa.
"She's the best. She is the closest thing I ever have gotten to having a real mother. She has saved my life before. If anything happens to her, I would give my life to save her."

"I am sure you would" he sighed "but you give away your life to easily, have you not thought of keeping some life for yourself?" A smile played at the corners of his lips, if he said anymore it would have emerged.

Wild smiled and looked back at Amras.
"It seems to me that every time I give my life, I get something good back in return. I risked my life for keeping Father Joseph and Anna Regan safe. When they both left, you showed up. I consider that to be a very good reward."
Her eyes were glittering with humor, but the blushing colors in her cheeks gave away that she had meant what she said.

*Wild looked up at Amras, smiling shyly.*
"So, what do you want to do when we get back to Lorien?"
She was glad that he wanted to stay with her until she got better, but she had no idea where he would sleep tonight. He could share the bed with her, of course, like they had done before. She knew he was a gentleman and would never harm her. And she would not harm him either. She was proud of being his friend.

"Rest" he replied with a chuckle and leaned back in his chair, not releasing Wild's hand, he noticed her face change a bit, which he knew meant she was thinking of something.
"What are you thinking?"

Wild felt Amras hand in hers, and she felt safer than she had ever done before. So when she replied to him, it was with a trustful heart, and with no other backthoughts than his wellbeing.
"I was only thinking that if you are going to stay here until I get better, that chair must be uncomfortable for you. You and I have shared bed before, and nothing wrong has ever happened. You are a perfect gentleman, and I appreciate our friendship too much to want to ruin it by trying anything. So if you want to lay down, the bed is big enough for the both of us."

I can not even bring myself to kiss you Wild, why would I try anything Amras smiled "The chair is fine, plus if I need it, they will bring in a cot for me."

Wild smiled over at him. She was feeling tired, but she didn't release his grip of her hand. She wanted this touch. The feeling of being near another person.
"All right then. There is an extra blanket at the footend of my bed. I don't need it, so you can take it if you want it. Will you still be here when I wake up tomorrow?"
