"Because you're a good man" John was leaning against the door frame with his arms crossed "because you've never done anything to hurt anyone else unless you knew it was better for them in the end. Because you're scared and vulnerable and Wild can see that and no matter what she cares for you, even if you were being a terrible jerk."
Amras stared at John and gulped, he had not seen him in the waiting room even when Isa had come back to get him.
"That's why."

Wild was laying in the bed, and had noticed John the moment he came into the room. She smiled friendly to him. She felt no jealousy for Amras being in love with John. John was a person worthy of love. She was sad that he had lost his wife in such a tragic way. He hadn't deserved it.
Thank you, John. I am glad you are here. Thank you for all your understanding, and the help you have given me. I hope I can help you in return.

"Wild" he spoke softly "how many times must I tell you, there is no need to thank me, truly, I do it because I care and seeing you well is all the thanks I need."
He sighed "You are still not speaking" he shook his head "that's not good dear." He walked over to her and brushed past Amras who looked away down to the ground. "You musn't fear words and I'm afraid if you do not start speaking I will be forced to block you from my mind, so that I will not be able to hear you, do you understand why?"

Wild looked up at him. She didn't want John to block her from his mind. She felt safe when she met him. It felt like she could leave her problems to a father, or older brother.*
I'm sorry, John. I will try to speak again. Please don't block me from your mind. I'll do anything you say.

"This sudden muteness if you will is all in your mind my dear, there is nothing physically wrong with your brain nor your throat." He sighed and touched her hand "You mind doesn't lie."

*Wild looked up at John while he took her hand.*
What does my mind tell you, John? I feel so lost right now. I need to find my path. Again.

"You're scared" he laughed "even though you're going to be fine, your mind is quite clouded however because of this fear, this is why you are feeling lost. You know your path, you simply can not see it through the confusion and that, that's to be expected. But you're using your voice to hide your fear, so you're using your mind. But my dear it still means your speaking, just not with your tongue. So what is the problem?"

*Wild looked up at John.*
I don't know what the problem is, John. I feel something blocking it, and I am afraid to find out.

"You're blocking it" he said plainly "it's as simple as that."
He looked up at the clock on the wall and sighed "I'm sorry I can't stay any longer, I told Lost I'd be back at eight it's almost eight now and I'm not at all close." He smiled and touched Wild's head "You'll be all right my dear, as long as you learn to trust yourself." He kissed her forehead softly and turned to Amras who looked up at him.
"Don't think you're getting away without a hug" Amras chuckled softly and stood up, taking the man he had once thought to be the love of his life in to his arms, and for a moment, not wanting to let go.
"It was great to see you again Amras" John whispered.
"And you" Amras replied.
After a moment they let go and John moved out of the room as quickly as he had come.

*Wild smiled and looked at the two men as they embraced each other. She knew how lost Amras felt right now, holding a man he couldn't have. That's what she had felt for Amras the last three years. She nodded to John as he left the room, then turned to Amras again, smiling. Her eyes showed that she understood his pain.*

Amras said nothing as he stared down at the ground.

Wild looked at Amras. She felt so sad for him. It hurt to see someone she loved so much having a heartache because of another. She knew how it felt to love someone without getting love in return.
"I'm so sorry," she whispered.

Amras's head shot up "W-Wild" his eyes were darting between hers "you talked, I-I-I mean you spoke!" He smiled and touched her cheek "Thank the gods."

Wild smiled and blushed slightly when Amras touched her cheek.
"I just didn't want you to be sad...."
She whispered shyly.

"Oh, hmmm" he smiled warmly "I know and I do not want you to be either..." he looked down and laced his fingers between hers "...it is going to be hard, you know that right?"
