"Oh I do not mean to offend, I enjoy your, how do you say, boldness?" Louis touched the mans shoulder "If I had your talent and eye sir, I'd write the same."

"Mmmm..." *William purred, the smile easier.*
"Careful." *He warned.* "Flattery will get you everywhere."

"As I've heard" Louis continued to smirk, allowing his hand to slide down the mans arm subtly "and I've nothing but praise for you." He turned swiftly and began walking again, knowing the man would follow.

((You tease.))
*And follow William did. He kept up easily enough on his long legs.*
"And what of yourself?" *He queried gently.* "What moves you?"

((Uh huh...))
*Now that was not the sort of answer he'd been expecting.*
"Care to explain that a bit more to a layman?" *He smiled.*

((B-B-But it's David Bowie and Brad Piiiitttt))
Louis would, but not in the terms that he had meant "To see the end, this is all that I care for."

((Ok, so maybe you have a point. A small one.))
*William's eyes narrowed. After a pause, he answered plainly, but with a hint of levity.*
"Has anyone ever told you that you are quite the befuddlement?"

((Spongebob: "I think I made my point"))
Louis stopped suddenly and turned to William "More than once" he continued to smirk "I'm afraid my cryptic words are for my own enjoyment" he pulled on the edge of his gloves and looked up "I find a certain, pleasure, in watching others try and make sense of it, my apologies."

*William lifted his hands, conceding.*
"Well if that is the point of it, who am I to deny the artist?" *He smiled with a touch of roguish air.*

"Ah a man after my own heart, delightful" Louis voice was soft, almost soothing as he spoke. It was nice to be able to talk to someone, other than Lestat, who had a brain between his ears.

*William quirked his head to one side as they continued on.*
"So...you're looking for closure...at the Opera. I admit, that's one I haven't heard before."

"It is strange, I am not a man of music per se, I enjoy it, I play it, I listen to it, but I do not dwell on it, yet this opera fills me with such great need for it that I almost feel..."
Alive again.
"... that my purpose in life has been renewed."

*William found himself terribly interested, unsure if it was due to the man's strange beauty or the thought that the Opera could do such a thing.*
"Is it the life of it, the performances, or the building itself?"

"I can't be sure" Louis said truthfully "it's magnetic, I seem to find myself here, even though there is no opera's being performed, and when I am here I can hear the music, even though the opera is quiet and the perfromers have all gone." He turned to William and waved his hand "Oh pay no nevermind to me, it sounds ludacris now that I've said it."
((I love logging in as Louis, because I'm using The Hecklers account and it makes me giggle.
Also in my head, I'm seeing Louis actually hearing the music being play by the Erik's below. Being a vampire and all he's got that heightened senses thing.))
