((Just because. XD))
*Lois had been going around Wayne Manor trying to better know the place. So far, she had counted about a dozen bathrooms, three dining rooms and more rooms than she had ever imagined. And she hadn't seen an entire wing yet.
She stepped into a large open area and saw closed double doors at the other end. After opening countless doors, these didn't seem any different. Lois walked over, grabbed both handles then opened both doors at the same time.
What she saw left her speechless.
The room was absolutely enormous and golden and ornate like no one would believe. Though the room was dark, the large chandaliers glinted as the light from the other room hit the crystals. She was at a loss for words.
Leaving the doors open, Lois walked in and gaped at all of it. When she had finally come to her senses, she noticed a sound system in the corner. She walked over and pushed the play button. The music that came from the various, well-hidden speakers was unmistakable: Strauss' King's Waltz.
Smiling, Lois moved to the center of the room, took a bow--instead of a curtsy-- and assumed the starting position... the guy's starting position. Oblivious, she began to dance.*

((Screw it, I don't care if this clashes with anything. Besides, discontinuity is canon in superhero comics))
*He stood leaning against the doors, watching Lois with a rather appreciative smile*
"I had no idea you were such a good dancer."

*Lois stopped and turned. She couldn't believe who was standing at the doorway.*
"You are full of so much crap," *she said, trying to mask her embarassment by feigning a brusque tone.*

"Well, pleased to meet you, too." He said cheerfully, moving away from the door and into the room.

*Lois couldn't help but laugh.*
"Wayne's guest of honor?" *she asked as she stepped closer, holding out her hand.*

*He shook her hand, firmly but not squeezing*
"You could say that. So, what brings you here to dance?"

"Lots of free time," *she said truthfully.* "Can't really write articles when you've been put into witness protection."
"Why are you here? Shouldn't you be trying to develop another bomb for the government's apocalypse collection?"
*Lois didn't exactly sound resentful. Just... sarcastic.*

"Witness protection? I had no idea your job was that dangerous."
*He quirked an eyebrow at her*
"Actually, I was working on a new energy source--very hush-hush."

*Lois shrugged.*
"Sometimes you get unlucky and run into the wrong people at the wrong time in the wrong place. Or maybe someone somewhere's got a voodoo doll."
*She placed a hand on her hip and looked very interested in what he said.*
"Really? Is it for another bomb or...?" *she said, sounding sarcastic again.*
*It was subtle but... yeah, she was fishing for an interview. It wasn't like she was every going to use it in any of her articles but this had become a habit she just couldn't get rid of.*

*Tony rolled his eyes*
"Fine, be that way. I was only trying to strike up a friendly conversation."
*He wasn't, of course, going to make it easy for her to get information out of him*

"Oh really?" *she said, her eyebrows rising.*
"Then tell me: since when do you only strike up a friendly converstation?"
*Lois had always thought Stark would be one of those barf-inducingly slick billionaires but she found his brand of humor and wit quite alluring. Perhaps not attractive but definitely interesting.*

*The look he gave her was a wounded one.*
"Can't be rude. Especially not to the media."
*The wounded look was ruined, however, by a wink*

"And have you had a lot of experience with the media, Mr. Stark?"
*Of course, her question didn't mean interviews and press conferences. She knew someone like him would catch the implications.*

"Here and there."

((Whoa. Crazy typo in my last post. T_T))
"Of course."
*Lois smiled knowingly and nodded.*
