*Crane had the now-psychoticized Lois Lane placed in one of the cells, as an unknown. He was from Gotham, and had recognized her. But most people wouldn't.*

((LOL Is that even a word? XD))
*Lois shuffled to a corner and simply sat there for several hours with vacant eyes.*

The Joker pressed his face to the bars in his own cell, desperate for a glance of the newcomer. Unless he was mistaken, the occupant was none other than...
"Lois Lane?" he called mockingly. "Journalist for the Daily Planet?

*Lois slowly glanced over then reverted her eyes back to the cold cement floor.*
"Not for long..." *she said in a slightly singsongy voice.*

"Oh, dear," he chuckled, "how far you've fallen. It wasn't so long ago that you were writing cover stories for that piece-of-trash newspaper. Foiled one of my robberies, too, I think. Or was it a murder?"
He scratched his head in thought and abruptly grinned.
"Now you're in the same predicament as me! Safely locked away from the public eye. No one wants to see you. We're... freaks, you and I. Only tiny difference is that I broke in!" he exclaimed, attempting to stifle a laugh.

*Lois stared at him for a long while before getting up and slowly, sauntering closer to him.*
"D'you know what I was doing when I accidentally heard about your little scheme?" *she said in an uncharacteristically condescending tone.* "I was in a public restroom in Gotham International Airport during a one hour lay over wiping a ketchup stain off my blouse." *Lois cackled uncontrollably.* "What are the chances of that?! Just goes to show you how... messy you are."

"Oh, but messes are great! There's never a straight line to follow, no evident plan. Everything's perfectly ambiguous, and you never know what's coming or going, you just... follow along. And you know what that means? More chaos and mayhem. And usually, more things blow up! That's always fun."
The Joker narrowed his eyes, slightly startled by Lois's aberrant behavior. "You seem nervous. Is it the scars? Has Lois Lane finally snapped?"

*Lois angled her head, letting her messy hair fall to one side.*
"Aww. Are you asking 'cause you care?" *she cooed sarcastically.*

"I worry for you, frankly," he replied, sneering.

*Lois looked up, thoughtfully.* "Oh, but worrying is a human emotion," *she said, pretending to be utterly confused.*

*Despite her efforts, Lois sobered and looked almost hurt.*
"...Don't," *she said quietly. Despite her tone, her voice hadn't lost its steely edge.* "He was more human than you'll ever be."

"I think not."
He paused before continuing, "After all, I'm not the nearly indestructible 'Man of Steel'. I die as easily as the next person. As easily as you."
