"Oh, I'll show you right now. Why don't you lean in a bit closer? Come on," he coaxed, beckoning to her with his gloved hand.

*Lois stood still and didn't break eye contact. She was already pretty close and her first instinct was to back the hell away but she didn't want to seem like she was afraid. She wasn't, actually. Just wary of his psychotic capabilities.*

He thrust his arm through the bars and managed to get her into a headlock, simultaneously whipping out a knife and holding it in rather close proximity to Lois's face.
"Death enough for you?"
He brought the blade closer and let it graze the exposed skin of her neck.

*Lois stayed absolutely quiet during the whole thing, never once looking at the knife. After all, she had a facade to keep up.*
"Not really," *she said, managing to sound bored.* "I suppose you want me to scream now to complete your little fantasy. Although I highly doubt you'll ever get out of here after killing an inmate with a..." *Lois looked down and moved a bit to try and get a look at the knife. It was held too close to her and she just guessed as to what it was.* "What is that? A potato peeler? Wow, you must be really strapped for cash. I guess that one robbery I stopped set you back a little."

"First of all, you don't have to scream because I'll still kill you. A willing victim isn't as gratifying, but hey--something I've gotta live with. Secondly, I got in here, and I can very well get the hell out. Third, it's not about money. It's about sending a message. Imagine the look on their faces when they find your body and peels of your face strewn all over the ground.
"So, I guess that all goes to say, don't mess with me."
The Joker threw aside the peeler and dug in his coat pockets for a more suitable weapon. His fingers enclosed upon a knife.
"Happy?" he asked, digging the blade into Lois's cheek.

*Lois flinched, despite herself, when she felt the sting of the tip on her cheek.* "Never," *she retorted.*
*She struggled for a moment but figured that not moving was smarter.* "You keep saying that," *she said, a tinge of fear escaping into her voice.* "Why would you break in? "

"I've got items to fetch, inmates to break out, people to infuriate, and havoc to wreak. Why wouldn't I break in? Besides, it's a resting ground in between my... performances." His grip on the knife was unrelenting, and if anything, cut the blade deeper into Lois's skin with each word he uttered.
"This is how I'll die. Only I'll go with a laugh. Give us a laugh, hmm?"

*Lois had to stop herself from whimpering. She closed her eyes for a moment, regaining her composure. She reached up and grabbed his wrist, trying to releave the pressure of the blade off her skin.*
"You're crazy," *she said through gritted teeth.* "You'll never get away with it."

"I'm not. No... I'm not," he replied forlornly, his eyes slightly downcast. But it was only seconds before the remorselessness and malice returned to them. He struggled against her grip, and in doing so, applied more pressure on the blade.
"What makes you think I won't get away?" he asked.

*Lois felt the edge finally break her skin and warm blood trickle down her cheek. She was starting to panic now. She looked about herself frantically to try and see if anyone could help.*
"Because, whether you like it or not, justice is a living force," *she spat in a quivering voice. Lois purposely made her voice louder, in hopes that there were guards near by.* "And, if the rumors are true, Batman's back and he isn't going to sit around and watch you toy with this town like you did Gotham."

"Justice? Justice?!" he laughed. "Justice isn't going to do you any good. Y'see, it's a... small breath of air compared to the storm that I'm brewing!" The mention of the Dark Knight resolutely grasped the Joker's attention, and his eyes flickered with untold glee. His much-too-animated smile was comparable to that of a young child's on Christmas morning: expectant, anticipative, joyous.
"The Bat, eh? This is too much fun! Oh, Lois, Lois, Lois. You forget that this town's already... mine," he hissed.

"And what kind of storm would that be?" *Lois asked, out of the perverse curiosity she had, somewhere, picked up during her career as a journalist.* "Hardly think it matters though. This town'll never be your's."

"A thunderstorm with hail and sleet and fire and tornadoes... two," he answered, indicating said number with his fingers.
"And that's where you're wrong. You'll see. I'm going to bring this town to its knees."

"If this plan of your's is to control the weather," *Lois forced a fake, sympathetic smile,* "You're really losing your sense of style."
"After it's on its knees, then what? What are you going to do after your little psychotic social experiment?" *she asked, not sure if she actually wanted to know.*

"I told you that you would see. Just because I have you at my mercy doesn't mean you're entitled to certain privileges. Just wait and see. Which is why I'm not going to kill you... today, that is."
He released his hold from around Lois's neck and removed the knife from her face. The blade was dotted with a crimson liquid, which he wiped off on the cloth of his pants. The Joker receded into the shadows of his cell.
"I want you to witness the anarchy and mayhem that I'll invoke. Report the horrors that seize this town, the helplessness that it won't be able to escape. And remember to give me credit!"
