Megan was instantly quite jealous that... well, it was obviously Death... had managed to take Erik's attention away from her. She picked up some of the makeup.
"I'll still help you! The kiss- look, it was a spur of the moment thing, and if you want her back..."

*Death smiled.*
"Of course I mean it. Shall we? I would love to see your home, if you're agreeable."
*He turned to begin walking, gesturing for Erik to lead the way.*

"Erik!" Megan stamped her foot. "If I live here, I should at least get to know your... friends," she added doubtfully, looking at Death.

*Erik was happily prepared to show Death his various inventions, but Megan interjected herself upon his consciousness again. He sighed.*
"Death. This is Death. This is... um, Megan." *Her face didn't dissolve into tears or anything, so he decided he must have gotten it right. Well it hardly seemed natural to call her her name, when she was working for him, did it?* "He'd have taken you to Hell if Erik had not been distracted," *he added mildly.*

"Pleasure," said Megan, dropping into a curtsey.

I totally understand why I’m here.
*Death turned back to the girl with a somber air.*
“I know who you are. I know all mortals…it is my nature to do so. Just as it is your nature to know me. It seems to be unavoidable. Forgive me; I did not think that introductions were required. I did not mean to be rude.”
*That being said, he turned back to Erik with an inquisitive look and a small smile.*
“Now that that’s out of the way…where were we?”

Megan managed to sort of sidle up, as though she'd been invited. She kept looking at Erik in a rather proprietary way and smiling shyly.

((Oh my god. She just really wants me to put a cap her ass, doesn't she? )) "I did," *Erik muttered, trying to ignore the fact that Megan was fawning at his side. He gestured around him.* "This is my home," *he explained unecessarily to Death.* "I think you'll like Erik's bedchamber." *He smiled to himself as he went to open the door.*

"I sleep out here," Megan added, pointing at the rather sad assemblage of things half-stuffed under the chaise.

**as blanchette** *The cat had followed the group, and was watching intently when she realized that she was still quite hungry. human arguments did not interest her, even though the tall, male one with the different face (who she had taken a shine to immediately, as he reminded her of one of her own) seemed to be involved in quite a few of them. she nuzzled at the woman's leg and meowed.*

((The reasoning for her liking Erik is adorable.))
Megan looked down at the frightened kitten.
"Hello again, little one! Are you thirsty? I'll get you some water."
She went into the kitchen and filled a dish with some water for Blanchette.

((hey, he really does remind me of a cat!)) *Blanchette happily followed the woman, happy to have water that wasn't full of dishsoap. she took a few laps and then nuzzled the woman again, wanting to be picked up. The woman liked her, and she seemed rather like she needed a friend here.*

Megan picked Blanchette up and cuddled her close, almost like a baby.
"You are just too cute, kittycat, you know that?"

*Blanchette purred and rubbed her head against the woman's hand. she was, however, still quite hungry, and then meowed in her best pitiful way. it sounded more like one of the mews she had made when she was born, around two years before.*

Megan was used to that meow. She started looking around for something to feed her.
