Tyldak gave a sharp chuckle, but kept his face turned away, not wanting to have to look at her innocent face.
"Bathing was not often needed, because we had great magics. Everything was clean, always. As to where I lived...it is not important. It is gone."

*Dewshine sat on his bed again, curious about ages that had passed a long time ago, and which he seemed to know so much about.*
"Where did you live?"

"Insufferably curious child..." he muttered and then sighed. "In a mountain hall. I do not wish to speak of it. You've done your work here, you are free to take your leave again."

*Dewshine sighed and stood up. Then she went into her room in the birdhouse and unpacked her things.*

Tyldak groaned at the lingering pain in his body and folded his wings around himself for warmth. He could bathe more, certainly, when he was healthy. The soap was beyond him, of course, but if the Wolfrider girl stayed with him, she could aide with her magics, keep his home clean--and provide meat. Cooked meat. It mattered not to him whether it came from something dead, if it was clean. And of course, to appease her, he would eat her vegetables and fruits as well.
For now, he slept and healed.

*Dewshine had carefully placed her belongings where they used to be. She didn't know why she had come back here. But she was the one that had found him. And she felt responsible for healing him. It seemed like everytime he was without her, he would end up miserable. So she might as well stay.
She was tired after a long day of work, so she laid down on her bed and fell asleep.*

Come morning, Tyldak was well enough to try his legs and he raised himself up out of bed. He was still shaky, but steady enough to navigate his home. He couldn't remember most of what had passed the previous day, but he knew the groundling had been in his house, had laid hands on him and helped to heal him. The curtain that covered the room which had been hers was drawn closed--was she still there, then?
He settled his wings about himself and silently pushed into the room, catching sight of her laying on her little bed, asleep, the morning sun shining on her golden hair. The bird-elf narrowed his eyes and felt something flutter at his mind, but he brushed the annoyance aside.
He padded over to the window portal and lifted up one wing to filter the light, dull it so that it would not shine in her eyes and wake her prematurely, before his eyes had had their fill of her.

*Dewshine was sleeping, and didn't notice someone was in her room. Her eyes were shut, and there was a smile on her rose-red, kissable lips, as if she was dreaming something funny.*

After another few moments, he lowered his wing to let the light in again and quickly slipped from the room before she woke and...caught him there. He returned to his own room and stood on the ledge of his portal, looking down at the river. He didn't feel strong enough yet to fly, but the air felt good on his sickened skin.

*Dewshine woke up and streched her slender young body. She slipped into her little bathroom and took a quick morning shower before dressing. Then she went out into the kitchen to make breakfast. She was a bit unsure of his reaction to fruit, so she made him some eggs and bacon, and some sausages, even though the thought of using meat for food made her cringe.*

The smell of cooking meat caused a stab of hunger to rumble his stomach and he turned quickly away from the open air and padded into the little kitchen area of his home to find the small elf at work over the cooktop. He came closer, his wings rustling around himself, and peered over her.
"Meat...?"

*She startled at the sudden sound. She hadn't heard him coming. She turned around and brushed one of her golden curls away from her forehead before she replied, as she looked innocently up at him:*
"You didn't want fruit and vegetables the other day, so I thought I might try something else..."
*She blushed and and returned to the cooking again, with her back turned against him.*

"You finally relent. Good. If you provide cleansed meat from dead animals, I will make due with that and will not hunt your..."friends" in the forest any longer." His stomach growled loudly and he moved away from her to give her room to work, crouching on the floor near the table and waiting.

*A smile brightened up Dewshine's beautiful little face when she heard him promise not to hunt her friends. Her shiny white teeth were flashed in a smile, and her blue eyes were twinkling stars. She quickly lifted the meat over on a dinner plate, and cut it into pieces for him. Then she brought the plate over to the table. She looked questioning at him.*
"Do you want to sit by the table? I can help you with the chair if you can't manage on your own."

"I will stand." He gruffed and came to the edge of the table, appreciative of the small bites the girl had provided for him. Such small pieces were easily manipulated by the thumbclaws of his wings, and he could move the pieces of food into his mouth without making a mess. He ate in silence, clearing the plate, and then pursed his lips and turned to go back to his room, still unable to look at the Wolfrider directly. There was something dangerous in looking at her that he could not name.
Thank you. His soft Sending touched her mind, and then he was out of the room again.
