"Sounds like a plan" he winked and squeezed her hand.

"Right!"
*So saying, she led the way into the kitchen.*

He finally let her hand go as he saw the kitchen, it was modern, more modern than even his appliances.
"Wow..."

*She'd forgotten about the modern-ness of the kitchen*
"Heh, yeah. Brandi's got this place all upgraded and stuff."

"I can see, my if anyone from this time period walked in here, they might think they were hallucinating."

"Oh, I think some of the more chronologically challenged folks around here have probably gotten used to it." She joked.
Inwardly, she didn't know what to do. She wasn't a cook by any stretch of the imagination, and she didn't want Brandi to come back from being out with CryBaby and find her inn burned down.
"Er...okay, don't freak out...but I'm not as ordinary as I like to tell people." She said meekly.

He stared at her with peaked interest "Yes?"

"It's...well, easier to show you than just tell you. Besides, you should know if we're going to stay together."
Best get it over with now if you're going to be scared off.
*With a lot of hesitation, she used her powers to conjure up a plate of hamburgers*

Jay simply stared "You are, a magician?"

*She wasn't quite meeting his eyes*
"Er, no...I'm...a sorceress. A real one."

"Like, like in fantasy novels? Like Merlin?"

Here it goes...
"That's...I guess that's what those are based on." She said, staring at the plate of hamburgers.
"I don't know all the ins and outs. I'm still kind of a novice."

He felt a little dizzy Nice, normal girl he thought boy were you wrong.
He wanted to not believe her, to think that this was all an elaborate trick and that maybe she was crazy. But there was too much truth to her voice, and those hamburgers did come practically out of nowhere.
He sat down.

*She stole a glance at him, saw the expression on his face, and looked away again*
"I don't blame you. I'd probably run away if someone told me this. Well, before learning what I know about Paris, that is."
*She sighed*
"Best this happens now, rather than later."
When someone might have fallen in love.

"Yes, yes" he nodded "forgive me if I am a bit off, it's-" he looked at her with a nervous smile "just this is the first time I've met a sorceress."
