*Leetah nodded. She was familiar with the subject.*
"I know how it feels. I sometimes have visions about things that happens far away. Unfortunately, I am usually too far away to intervene when it happens. So if you need to talk to someone who understand, I am here for you."

"I've grown up with it- I think I've dealt with it about as much as possible."
*She frowned*
"The only thing that troubles me is one I had when I was reading to Eva. Not even an image, just a feeling..."

*Leetah looked at her, friendly.*
"Feelings are important. What did you feel?"

"It was a sense of- weel, I'm not sure how to describe it- something that shouldn't be there. I've met ghosts before, but this just felt wrong."

*Leetah nodded.*
"There are lot of things that are wrong in Lorien. Both the former queen and king were brutally murdered. Some say their spirits still linger on."

"Are you one of the 'some'?"

*Leetah shook her head and smiled sadly.*
"No, but I may be one of the reasons why the queen never found peace. I gave birth to a child she adopted to assure the inheritance of the throne. Then the throne was grabbed by the man I suspect as her murderer. I am deeply mourning her death, and feels guilty because I can't fulfill her last wish: to give the throne to the child she adopted, my son."

*Ah, politics. Truth be told, she really didn't care if her employer was a murderer- he was a king, so she simply assumed so.*
"And her husband?"

*Leetah's eyes darkened.*
"He received a ring who darkened his mind. We saw him go insane. And more evil, for each day. If anyone deserve getting murdered, it was him. I cannot mourn his death."

"I see."
*So that would explain all the answers she hadn't been given about the rooms of the castles. The torture chambers now vacant, the walls where pictures had hung once.*

*Leetah looked at her. She seemed so young, and she didn't deserve to be put in all this evilry.*
"Look, if things get too difficult for you at the castle, I can get you lodgings elsewhere. I don't like the idea of any young girl living there. It's too dangerous."

"I'm niether young nor frail, and I've handled my share of danger before. Thank you anyway."

*Leetah looked at her, smiling. She hadn't said her thoughts out loud. And still the girl had responded to them. Could she read minds as well? She decided to try to send some thoughts, just to see.*
You're welcome. But if you ever find yourself in a situation where you would need help, go to Captain Haldir's office on the Castle, and ask for Lady Leetah of Lorien....

*It would be innacurate to say Susan could read minds. But she was good at reading people. Helping to ferry away departed souls when her grandfather took a vacation could do that to a person.*
"Do you expect something to happen to me?"

*Leetah smiled and looked at her. She was much more interesting than ordinary humans.*
"No, not with you. With the surroundings around you. I feel a strange resistance when I go near the castle. Something or someone... won't let me enter. That is the East wing. The West Wing, belonging to my family, the oldest aristocratic family in Lorien, is peaceful."
