*Haldir looked at Katya and smiled warmly.*
"Would you like to go dining with me? I know a nice restaurant where they serve excellent food. They also have live music there."

"That sounds great! Er, should I change my clothes? What kind of restaurant is it?"

"It is the best restaurant in Lorien, of course. Did you think I would settle with anything less with a girl like you?"
*Haldir smiled and looked warmly at her.*
"I think you look ravishing, but if you want to change clothes anyway, I'll escort you to your room and wait outside while you get ready."

"Oh, well, I don't want to waste time--besides, this is a very lovely dress."
And my stomach is complaining too much to wait.

*Haldir looked more at Katya than at her dress. He replied dreamingly.*
"Absolutely wonderful."
((The restaurant doesn't exist yet. Do you want to post a new thread, or should I?))

((Can make a new thread))
"Well, lead the way, my good man!" She said cheerily.

((Great! Just godmod anything in the restaurant. It should be one that can impress Katya )) *Haldir galantly offered her his arm.* "Please, come with me." ((To the restaurant?))

********************NEW DAY****************
*Leetah was walking in the rose garden. Ever since Queen Tearbird died, she had tried to stay away from this garden, where she had so many happy memories with the queen, who had treated her like her own daughter. She could stilll feel Queen Tearbird's presence in the wind, hear her voice and her laughter. Leetah's heart was aching, and to help her sadness, she started singing.*
They came in the night when the men were asleep That band of Argyles, through snow soft and deep. Like murdering foxes, among helpless sheep They slaughtered the house o' MacDonald
Oh cruel is the snow that sweeps Glencoe And covers the grave o' Donald And cruel was the foe that raped Glencoe And murdered the house o' MacDonald
They came through the blizzard, we offered them heat A roof ower their heads, dry shoes for their feet. We wined them and dined them, they ate of our meat And slept m the house O' MacDonald
Oh cruel is the snow that sweeps Glencoe And covers the grave o' Donald And cruel was the foe that raped Glencoe And murdered the house o' MacDonald
They came from Fort William with murder mind The Campbell's had orders, King William had signed Put all to the sword, these words underlined And leave none alive called MacDonald
Oh cruel is the snow that sweeps Glencoe And covers the grave o' Donald And cruel was the foe that raped Glencoe And murdered the house o' MacDonald
Some died in their beds at the hands of the foe Some fled in the night, and were lost in the snow. Some lived to accuse hlm, that struck the first blow But gone was the house of MacDonald
Oh cruel is the snow that sweeps Glencoe And covers the grave o' Donald And cruel was the foe that raped Glencoe And murdered the house o' MacDonald

*Susan had been taking a bit of a break, and was reading in the garden. She was struck by the similarity between cultures in folksongs- any song that names its location is sure to be depressing, no matter the language.
She looked up at the elven woman, who hadn't seemed to notice her.*

*Leetah felt the presence of another person. And this time it was not a spirit. Leetah turned her head and looked around, and discovered a woman reading. She didn't look like an elf, and she didn't recognize her. Leetah smiled and went over to the woman. She greeted politely, in the way that was so typical for the High Elves of Lorien.*
"Welcome to The Elven Kingdom of Lorien. My name is Leetah, Lady of Lorien."

"Nice to meet you. I'm Susan, the governess."
*She managed a smile, despite not being a very social person.*

*Leetah smiled warmly back.*
"Nice to meet you, Susan. Have anyone in this castle bothered to give you a room yet, or something to eat and drink? If not, I will be more than willing to help you out."

"They've been very helpful, thank you. Are you part of the family?"

*Leetah laughed.*
"Oh, good heavens, no. I belong to the former royal family. I was the best friend of the former queen, who was brutally murdered. So I am persona non grata here. The only reason I am still alive, is because I am the only Shaman of White Magic, and protects my people against difficulties."
