*Wildfeather smiled sadly and shook her head again.*
"I don't want to create panic. But believe me. They are powerful enough to carry out their threats. I do have a possible solution to the problem however, but for that, I need help from a very special person."

"And who is this person?"

*Wild looked down, unsure if it was wise to reply.*
"My cousin, Leetah. She is the best White Magic shaman in Lorien. I am the best Black Magic shaman. You will need help from us both to fight them back."

"Leetah...I have heard of her. It is rumored that she carries the heir to the throne."
*She considered things*
"Do you swear, before this court, that Leetah will not attempt to depose my husband?"

*In the back of the room, something sparkled. A hint of something just at the peripheral of Steerpike's eye. A form, a figure. Long, flowing gown and the hint of blonde.*
((Oh yeah, and only Steerpike can see her.))

*Wildfeather turned to Eleanor and smiled.*
"If you had known my cousin as well as the rest of us do, you would have known that no sane person, elf or human, would take responsibillites for her actions. Her will is as strong as the nature forces that stands to her disposition. I can not swear of such a thing as you demand from me."

"As a danger to my husband, then..."
*She turned to him*
"...it should be his choice."

"Is there any chance of..."
He saw the vague flicker of a woman in white at the back of the room and quickly looked away, clearing his throat and continuing "Of, er, writing it down?"

*Wildfeather looked innocently up at him, not noticing what was going on.*
"Writing down what?"

"I think he means the name of whatever it is you fear."

*Wildfeather shook her head.*
"It's no use. My magic powers are so strong that even my writing can summon it. And I will need all my powers to protect the kingdom against it."

*She sighed, but looked at her sympathetically*
"My dear, you must understand the dillema you've put us in. You ask us to allow in a woman who many wish to replace my husband, and refuse to say she will not attempt to do so. You say we need to do it for reasons you cannot tell us, to fight an enemy about whom you can tell us nothing. Now Wild, we trust you, but if you were in our position, wouldn't you find it a bit suspicious?"

***DIFFERENT LONG-HAIRED PRETTY BOY***
Steerpike was staring at the woman in the corner, and had to shake his head to return to reality.
"Yes," he said vaguely.

*Wildfeather smiled and looked at her, but her eyes were dark and flaming.*
"And still: Leetah is born and raised here in Lorien. Her family have lived here for several generations. She was a personal friend of the former queen, and her only support in life. You can't blame her for getting mad when the former Queen is murdered!!"

"And do you not expect me to have the same regard for my husband that she had for her friend?"
*She stood*
"We have made an offering of peace with her. If she will not accept it, how can we grant her what she denies us?"
