*He smiled, both at her eagerness and his knowing that he still had it. He peeked discretely at the cards. Twenty was a nice place to be sitting. He whispered privately.*
"You want to stand. Don't ask for another card."

*She nodded, glancing back at the dealer*
"I'll stand." She said, trying to sound like she knew what she was doing.
This man is nice. I hope I don't bungle this.

*The cards were turned. She won. Rochester had folded his own hand. No need to complicate things. He turned to her with a deep dimple and warm smile.*
"Well played."

*She beamed, rather liking the fact she'd just won a game she knew nothing about. Well, she'd had helped. She turned her smile to Rochester*
"Thank you, but I had some help."

"Any time, darling."
*He stood to bow to her in introduction.*
"Earl of Rochester, at your service."

Uh-oh! I need to give him a name!
*She couldn't very well give out her real one, as that would quite likely make him think her crazy. She quickly thought of something*
"Pleased to meet you, sir. I am Heike Geissel von Gutenheim."

*His brow lifted.*
"Now that's a pleasant mouthful."
*He took her hand gently, lifting it to his lips to kiss it as he bowed.*
"It's an honor."

*She felt the urge to giggle, which was in interesting sensation*
"Thank you, Rochester. I'm pleased to meet you."
He makes my stomach do funny flops.

*He glanced back to the table.*
"Would you like to try again, or can I tempt you away with promises of refreshments?"

*She glanced from the game to the table, then to Rochester.*
"I wouldn't mind a break."

I win, I win...again.
*He nodded with a grin, turning and offering his hand to help her up from her seat.*
"Here or elsewhere, darling? I know this quaint little place not too far, if you amicable to a walk. Get some air and all."

*She smiled at him shyly, wondering why she was this way all of a sudden. She nodded, taking his hand*
"This place is all well and good for gambling, but not really for other things."

*Rochester grinned and pulled her closer under the guise of navigating her through the crowd. His voice was low and conspiratorial.*
"I know exactly what you mean."
((To...elsewhere. When I figure out what cafe is available.))
