"Hmm. Perhaps I should have a word with him..." *mused Andrew softly.*

"That... would be an excessively bad idea."

"Why would that be?"

**XAV**
"Nobody who goes down there to 'have a word' with him comes back. Unless they're sleeping with him, of course."

"Look, he's a friend of a friend, perhaps he'll listen to me if I have something to say," *reasoned Andrew, deciding it was best to leave his mother out of it. She and Erik had always been friends, he'd heard, despite his mother being absolutely devoted to his father.*

*He shrugged.*
"Your decision; I can only advise against it." *He flicked his hair away again. It was truly getting irksome at this length.* "Inform him on my behalf that he makes terrible paper planes and may as well have just dropped a note."

*Andrew pursed his lips and nodded.*
"Will do."
*He spun his cane jauntily for a moment before exiting the room, rapping smartly on the door with the silver handle as he did.*
"I'll let you know how it goes."

"Wait a moment..." *He said, remembering that he'd wanted to ask something...* "Would you find it terribly forward if I asked why you walk with a cane?"
*He cocked his head and looked at Andrew. He was young, he looked fit. Why should he need it? There were men who carried canes just for the heck of it, but Andrew didn't seem to be one of them.*

*Andrew looked at Xavier shrewdly for a moment, smiling crookedly.*
"...as a reminder."

*He brushed some hair out of his face with his left hand, the one with the wedding ring on it. This was a bit awkward.* "Right." *He turned and began packing his music up.*

"Your accent...i--is it Italian?" *asked Andrew after a moment.* "My sister spent years at a school in Rome, and hers is grown much like yours, though we speak the King's English at home."

*Xavier chuckled.*
"I spent a year performing at La Scala; I suppose that the accent rubbed off."
