*Figwit nodded. He would have to accept her explanation, even if he didn't understand it. He'd have to accept being half-human, as well. Whatever that meant.*
"Perhaps I will meet him one day," *he said at last.* "But until then, I must learn all I can of Lorien."

*Leetah smiled and caressed her son.*
"However, my dear, I took special preservations to make sure you became an elf. I went through some very special magic rites before you were conceived. And I went through magic rites again on the night you were born. I hope my magic could bring you what you need to be as good as, or better, than any other elf."
*She looked at him with motherly pride.*
"None of us knows where your father is. Or we would have sent for him to meet you. But I am willing to answer all your questions about Lorien. You are also welcome to ask your uncle Haldir, my friend Nessa Telemnar, or my cousin Wildfeather. You'd be wise to call her Wild, as she hates the last part of her name."

((In Middle Earth lore, half-elves can choose what people they belong to when they grow up. Just a curious fact.))
*Figwit nodded.*
"I'd like to meet them," *he said. He did not want to be better than any other elf. He just wanted to be the best elf he could be.*

((Thanks for telling me. I was not aware of that ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) )) *Leetah smiled.* "I have sent for them to come and meet you here. But to let you get to know them better they will come one by one. Who do you want to meet first: Haldir, Nessa or Wild?"

*Figwit laughed gently, but his laughter was like the wind through the trees on a calm day--fleeting and inconsequential.*
"I do not care, Mother. Whatever is most convenient."

*There was a knock on the door, and Haldir entered. He smiled warmly by the sight of his nephew.*
"It is a pleasure to finally meet you, Figwit. I am your uncle, Haldir. I have longed to see you all your life."

*Figwit rose and bowed slightly.*
"It is an honor, Captain Haldir. I have heard of your prowess on the battlefield."

*Haldir embraced him warmly, before sitting down beside him.*
"I have of course been told everything about your existence, but unfortunately, I have not been able to follow you through these years. I hope to make up for it now. How have you been doing?"

*Figwit smiled tightly.*
"I have been cared for well. And trained, in various diplomatic and combative arts. For whatever eventuality. I regret that my absence was necessary and that I am only now able to join you here."

*Haldir smiled.*
"It pleases me to hear, my boy. I have done my best to protect you from harm. And if need be, both me and my entire army stands to your disposal. If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask them."

*The noise of a Harley Davidson outside overwhelmed all other noises. The sound stopped abruptly, as if someone had just stopped outside. Then a young girl in a black leather jacket, tightfitting pants and biker boots came inside. Her hair was dark and curly, and flowed down her back, and past her tiny waistline. When she saw Figwit, she arched her eyebrow questioning, but didn't say anything."

*Figwit raised his eyebrows at Haldir. An army at his disposal? He'd walked into more than he'd bargained for.
And now, with a roar, there was an elf girl standing in the doorway.*
"You must be Wild."

*Wild grinned, pleased that the new man had already heard about her hatred for her real name.*
"Correctly observed. And my name is Wild as well. Nice to meet you, Figwit."

*Wild smiled politely. She knew how to act like a lady when she wanted to.*
"You're most welcome. You are my cousins only child after all. So, have you enjoyed your life so far?"
