My god, he's so sweet. In a different way than Raoul- he's much more cheerful, in any case.
"You really care about me that much?"

*Edward beamed at her.*
"Of course! You're a swell girl, Christine. I hate to see you sad."

*She blushed, looking down*
"I've been told that before. But I actually think you mean it."

*He tilted his head at her slightly.*
"Gee. Someone must have screwed you up good, for you to be able to say that. I'm really sorry that happened. It's a shame, not being able to trust people."

*She laughed*
"Hasn't anyone ever betrayed you?"

"Not like that," *he said.* "I mean, I've had girlfriends leave, and all that. And they've hurt me. But life goes on. There's always a new play or movie, new people to meet. It doesn't bother me. I don't think I've lost anything."

*He was so adorably naive. Just as she had once been*
"I envy you, Edward."

"Aww, you shouldn't. You're amazing! You can sing, and dance... I just make movies no one sees."
*He took her hand in a friendly manner.*
"It's not all bad. It won't always be. You'll see. Something good will happen."

**NEW NIGHT**
*Christine began to draw the water for a bath. She made sure to lock the bathroom door first, what with that Mr. Bates running the place, then slipped into her bathrobe.*
I really need to relax...

*Lighting flashed outside, briefly illuminating a silhouette in the window that was gone a moment later as thunder rolled.*

*Christine was startled, but the shadow she had seen was gone. She wondered if Erik was looking for her, but doubted it- after all, he had what was practically a harem by now. She climbed into the warm water*

*Ambrosio pressed his back against the cold, damp outer wall, listening to the trickle of water, his eyes closed, breathing hard for a moment. He waited a while until he could be certain she had been lulled into a daze by the hot water. Grasping his Non-Metaphorical Magical Branch of Magic, he eased through the wall, standing behind the girl as she reclined in the water, the hood of his cloak pulled over his face. Peering over her shoulder, he greedily took in the view offered of her pale, beautiful flesh.*

*Christine was used to being spied on, and it only took a little while for her to realize someone else was in the room with her. Once she did, a wave of terror overtook her. She grabbed at the nearest towel, then turned to face the intruder*
"Who are you?!" *she screamed.* "What are you doing here?!"

"Calm yourself, my child," *he said soothingly.* "There is no reason to be frightened or ashamed." *he held out a hand to her, ripping lines directly from Catherine's Sexy Nightmare in Northanger Abbey.* "All is God's work."

"You're insane!"
*She started to back against the wall, then realized that that would leave her cornered by him. Instead, she tried to work her way over to the door.*
"You're the man from the church..."
