"Oh." *she said flatly.* "It's not a secret treehouse, then?"

"Well we have to get wood somehow. It's not like we can dismantle the Dock of Angst. And we wouldn't have to tell her where it was." *He added hastily. He really wanted to build a treehouse, but if it was just his mum helping then it was boring.*

*She looked at him seriously.*
"You CAN'T TELL. No grown-ups. Not even any older kids--they like to tink they're grown-ups an' so they tattle for no reason other than they tink the grown-ups will like them for it."
*She spat on her palm and held it out.*
"Ye hav' t'shake."

*He rolled his large, blue eyes before spitting on his palm and shaking.*
"Fine. But only if you call me Liam. I can't very well build a treehouse with someone who's calling me Sir all the time."

"Well then I get to call you Lady Sorcha. And instead of a treehouse we're building a treecastle."
*He promptly sat down in the moss under the tree, looking up at her as if expecting her to do the same.*

*Sorcha threw herself onto her stomach, comfortably resting her chin in her hands. Her long red-gold hair fell across her shoulders and looked very pretty against the emerald-green moss.*
"Ye can call me a Lady all ye like--I'll never be one." *she said with a shrug.* "But a treecastle is good." Really good.
((Are we actually going to build a treehouse or will it be, like "Here insert a montage of Liam hauling boards into the woods and Sorcha hammering things and bossing Liam around while he totters under a heavy rolled-up rug, etc.." ?))

((choice 2... or a combination of the 2.))
*He chewed on his lip, momentarily considering the color of her hair. He'd seen a flash of that very same color when he was in his parents' library... he'd investigated but found nothing. He cocked his head.*
"Have you been in the library up at the house?"

*He grinned.*
"Liar. Anyway I don't care, and when the treecastle is built we can keep as many books in it as we want."
*He screwed up his face in thought and disgust.* "Besides. My Mum and Dad are usually in the library being icky." *His parents were always in there, making googley eyes and talking all weird.*
((changed mah mind. hows a combo sound?))

((Sure.))
"Ew." *Sorcha wrinkled her nose in sympathy, but truly, she'd never taken particular notice of her parents affection for each other--given the confines of the small stone cottage and their ever-expanding family, she took her parent's relationship with a practical grain of salt and didn't really care what grown-ups did.*

*He grinned.* "Okay!"
*He thought for a moment, chewing his lower lip again. It was a trait he'd inherited from his Mum.* "We could get the wood from the old dock. And there's some old wood in the boathouse. Nobody uses the dock anyway."
*He thought he'd seen a toolbox down there once when he was combing the beach for sea glass.*
((this is post-Rebecca, so s'all good. brb in like 5 minutes.))
