"Well I hereby order you to call me Liam." *He said resolutely.* "And not Sir. I don't like ordering people, though. So I'm asking you to call me Liam, and we can just not tell your mum." *He corrected himself.*

*He frowned intensely.*
"Fine. I'm not going to talk to you if you call me Sir." *He folded his arms and turned around on his tree branch so his feet were dangling off the other side and he was looking the other way.*

*Sorcha blinked for a moment, then swung down to the ground and began walking towards the beach, stopping to turn the odd cartwheel in the grass.*

*He frowned. He wasn't used to not getting his way. He hopped down, having forgotten he was angry already.*
"Hey, wait!" *He called.*

"Well I changed my mind. Only every time you say 'Sir' I'll poke you in the ribs." *He poked her to demonstrate.*

*Sorcha wound up and delivered a solid punch to his nose.*
"An' that's what'll happen every time ye poke me, Sir," *she said, glaring at him and rubbing her ribs.*

*He glared right back, not sure whether he was more upset by the fact that she had an extremely good right hook or the fact that she still wasn't calling him Liam. He'd been raised never to hit a girl, even if she had hit him first.*
"Well fine. I guess I'll build a treehouse by myself." *He turned to stalk in the opposite direction.*

"...WAIT!"
*She clasped her hands behind her back and stared at the sky, scuffing the heel of her boot in the dirt, trying to look casual and failing.*
"...a real one? Where we can get our illicit lurvin' on in ten years?"

*He turned.*
"What other kind is there? Of course a real one. It was why I was out looking at trees. Mum and Dad say if I can find a good tree I can build whatever I want on it."

*He grinned, pleased.*
"Well then you can help me find a tree. That one's too small." *He gestured to the one they'd been sitting in.*
((It's gotta be deep in the forest and it's got to be a HUGE MASSIVE oak that dominates the Manderley woods.))

((Oh, totally.))
"I know the perfect one," *she said bossily, leading the way into a thickly wooded area of the estate, following a winding path through the trees in the cool, dark shade of the greenwood until they came upon a truly gigantic oak tree.*
"Me Da says it's the oldest tree in the wood," *she told him.* "Let's drive nails into it!"

*He looked up at it and blinked. It was HUGE.*
"Mum's going to have to help us." *He said, practically in awe that trees could get that big. His father wasn't much of a treehouse builder and Liam couldn't see him holding a hammer. His mother? Totally.*
((Yes, I can wield a hammer with confidence.))
