*Emily walked slowly up the hill, having left most of her weaponry at home. It had been a while and she didn't want Genghis to feel threatened. She just had a few questions as to the whereabouts and particular habits of his blood-sucking son.*
If you're gonna kill someone, do your research.

*Genghis had been going through his forms, half-nude body flowing in well-practiced grace and strength. Then he saw a familiar form coming up the hill. He tried not to smile, but his eyes lit up and he walked to meet her.*
"Emily...to what do I owe the pleasure of this visit?"

*Emily focused her eyes on her hands as she meticulously plucked off her black leather gloves.*
"I wanted to know how things are...with your sons. If any situations have improved."
This is about as subtle as I get. Dammit.

*Genghis's brow furrowed slightly.*
Or not for my pleasure. Or yours. Fine.
*He sighed and gestured to the low table just inside the tent.*
"I have not seen either of them in a long time. It was my assumption that...you two were still happily married. Is this...not the case?"

*Emily sat down with a sigh, resting an arm on one knee drawn up to her chest and running a hand through her loose hair with mild frustration.*
"Nadir is...well enough," *she said with a dismissing wave of her hand.* "To be blunt, it was really your other son I came to inquire after."

*Genghis's expression grew more grave.*
"I can only assume that you mean Vlad. He has been notably quiet, as of late."
*His eyes grew shrewd.*
"Why?"

"I have business with him," *she said in the soft, casual tone of a harmless female, much as if she had just stated she wished to invite him to tea.*

*Genghis arched a brow.*
"Business? It was my understanding that...there was bad blood between you."

"Of course there is. Good or bad, he surrounds himself with the blood of others. It is his life. It's time someone drew his."

*Genghis sighed heavily.*
"So why are you here? He makes no secret of his residence."

*She threw him a dry glance.*
"I can't just walk up and ring the bell. I need to know his habits, his...weaknesses."

*He pulled the stopper from a jug of wine, pausing to look her over carefully.*
"And even if he had them, why do you think I would tell you?"

*She half-smiled, as if this amused her.*
"Why wouldn't you? Don't tell me you respect his methods. You subscribe to a brand of neccessary cruelty. His goes beyond the call of duty to his demonic nature."

*Genghis considered her words and poured two glasses.*
"So you would have me betray my blood simply because of his nature, what I made him?"
*He pushed one in front of her.*

"Tsk. Betrayal is such a harsh-sounding word. Rather call it compliance in the seeking of justice. I won't pretend you are a righteous man, but you have some semblance of honour, at least."
*Emily took the glass and sipped the wine.*
"If I really had to choose where he gets his ultimately sadistic bent from, I'd lay the blame at his mother's doorstep before looking to you. She operates at a level higher than mortals, obviously."
