*Genghis gave a wry smile.*
"You've found something, haven't you? You're...different."
*He shook it off with a shrug.*
"But can you not still blame me, for sowing my seed in such a garden?"

*She ignored his first comment, lowering her gaze to the goblet in her hand for a moment before continuing in a light tone.*
"Satan would hardly present a danger if she were not alluring in the utmost. If she wants you, she'll have you. I expect many men would not put up much of a struggle."

*Genghis let out a hearty laugh.*
"Ah, yes...but I am not most men. You know that. I knew what she was. I chose her. I...choose her."

"And through her, your son." *Emily bit back a sigh of disappointment at his loyalty to such depravity and brutality as was found in Dracula and replaced the wineglass on the table.* "Very well. I'll trouble you no further." *She stood and went to the entrance of the tent, turning back to give a short bow.* "Health and prosperity to you, Mister Khan." *She backed through the open flap and went to the path that would lead back to the city.*

*Genghis rose and walked to the mouth of the tent with a smile.*
"And yet part of you is the same, Emily. You come and offer nothing but the 'right thing' to a man that half the world has labeled a monster. But it is a blessing to see your face again. Your fire. May you find what you seek on the path ahead of you."

*Emily turned her head, glancing over her shoulder at him.*
"What is 'right'? Is it protecting your own blood even if it means spilling that of innocents?"
*She turned her face back to the city spread before them, the buildings miniscule from the distance and height, but in her mind she saw the corruption of evil men crawling through the streets like black ants, and all the rivers of filth flowing forth from the spot, somewhere in the city, wherein Dracula presented the throbbing, vicious heart of all that threatened what little good and pure remained. Her eyes burned with dry anger and hot tears held in check, her face alight with the force of the commission she had been given from her typist the most divine.*
"Do not kill, do not rape, to not steal. These are principles which every man of every faith can embrace. These are not polite suggestions, these are codes of behavior and those of you that ignore them will pay the dearest cost," she whispered in a dry, cracked tone of voice.*

((LOVE))
*Genghis pursed his lips and shook his head.*
"And where is the place for me an mine in this world of which you speak?"

*She glanced at him sadly, her light fading.*
"There isn't. And I have been sworn to destroy that which you call your son. And I will do so without regret."

*Genghis searched her face with piercing eyes.*
"And what then? Who will you turn your righteous anger on then?"

"The lesser evils that surround the city. Once I have purged the world of Dracula...once I have cut out the heart of corruption--then I will destroy the limbs of the body. Until it is finished. Until my Master sees no further use for me in this cause."

*Genghis quirked his brow.*
"Master? I never saw you as one to take orders from anyone. I am...surprised."

((Emily seems to be forgetting that Genghis is also a rapist...poor Irene didn't even provoke him. She was just there.))

((Maybe the memo from God will come once she's dispatched Dracula to move on to Genghis. Ooooh wouldn't that be wangsty?))

((Yeah, I was waiting for the 'when will you be coming for me?'))
I would have offered you...anything.
*Genghis sighed.*
"I do not begrudge what you take upon yourself. I am merely sad that I could not give you what you needed. But I am glad that you have found it...elsewhere."
