*She was still all smiles, although it had toned down from her goofy one of earlier*
"Aww, thanks. I tried not to get too pricey or silly."

"You don't look silly at all," *he said gently. And at least her costume was less revealing. It might help with his own predicament.*
"Well. Have you worked up an appetite, or shall we find other occupation before lunch?"

*Lucy giggled. A real, honest-to-goodness giggle. Who knows when was the last time that had happened* "I think all that runnin' 'round made me 'ungry. "

Me too.
"Very well--lunch it is, then. I've called us a cab to take us there; I think you'll like the restaurant."
*Jekyll offered his arm, and they descended the stairs.*

**NEW DAY** *She bolted straight through the inn and up the stairs, stopping only to throw the door to his room open. Empty. The personal effects, all of the things that made it his--gone. She stood forlornly in the middle of the room, staring at nothing as the note fell from her hand and gently floated down to the floor.* Shouldn't've made 'im stay, she thought. Should've told 'im 'ow I felt an' made 'im understand. She didn't even realize she'd been crying until she felt the wetness of tears on her face. Hugging herself, she stooped down to pick up the note and then sit on the edge of the bed* Six months? I can do 'at.
