*Elizabeth smiled gently.* "Of course," *she said.* "I should be very much pleased to introduce you to my aunt and uncle during our stay in France."

Ramsey allowed a smile to cross his face. "I'm pleased to hear it." He brushed his lips lightly across her knuckles and strode away, mounting his horse easily and settling into the saddle.
"Good day to you," he said, tipping his hat and riding away.

"Goodbye," *said Elizabeth, watching him ride away for a moment before turning to the driver and asking to be taken back to the Opera.*
((Good Lord. Spanning eight pages and July 'till October. Longest. Afternoon Outing. Ever. Lizzie needs a bath and a nap.))

"This park seems even more beautiful each time I come here," Ramsey commented, cantering the horse easily onto the rolling grassy field.

*Madame Giry looked out over the gentle hills and glens, and breathed deeply of the fragrant fresh air.* "Yes, it is lovely here. Just now, the beginning of summer, it is beautiful..." *She thought for a moment.* "However, I find I favour it best in the autumn. The colours are so--it seems the trees are afire."

((POSTING AS RAMSEY because I can't stand the signing in and out anymore.))
"Mmhm, yes," Ramsey replied, his gaze focused on Vianne's elegant upswept hair and trim figure.

((*face/palm @ Ramsey*)) *Madame Giry turned her horse to look back at Ramsey.* "Are you certain you are well, Monsieur? You seem distracted. Perhaps we had best return."

((Sorry, I just don't want to rehash the past eight pages! XD))
Ramsey smiled. "Oh, I am only distracted by the beauty of... this park." He waved his hand idly, then kicked his horse into a neat trot. "How good a horsewoman are you, Vianne?"

*Madame Giry thought for a moment.* "Fair enough, I suppose. Why do you ask?"

Ramsey made his horse execute a few fancy steps. "Perhaps I should challenge you to a race," he replied, gesturing to the small lake about 300 meters away. "First one to the water's edge?"

*Madame Giry merely set her jaw to one side and with a regal toss of her head, dug her heels into the mare's flanks and shot off towards the water.*

Ramsey laughed out loud and kicked his horse, and the stallion leapt forward, eager to gallop.
His hat blew straight off his head, but he didn't mind. The wind caught at his hair as he crouched low over the horse's neck as he drew even with Vianne.

*Madame Giry drew her horse to a stop at the shore. The mare whinnied and snorted, and Vianne patted her on the neck, silently promising a handful of sugar later.* "My horse and I are not as young as we once were, Monsieur," *she said between gasps, her cheeks pink with exertion as she dismounted easily and swung the reins over the horse's head and began walking along the shore, leading the horse behind her to let the mare catch its breath.*

Ramsey blew right past her, the horse charging into the water up to its chest. Ramsey laughed and let the horse canter through the water until he reached the shore again.
"You are a better horsewoman that you professed," he said, dismounting and patting his horse's neck.

"I should have known better than to make her run," *she said, with a concerned look at her horse.* "Poor old thing."
