"Wha? Whattaya mean--I'm a vampire, too! Ye can't do 'at!"
*With that, she started to kick him, yelling as loudly as possible in the hopes that someone would overhear*

*Dracula sighed heavily, dropping the girl. It was perplexing, but she'd gone and made a terribly fuss of things.*
"So be it. Now let it be war upon you both! I hope you're happy together. Until you eat him." *He hissed, shrinking back and disappearing into the shadows.*

*She sat on the floor, dazed, hardly believing her luck. In her experience, it usually didn't end until she'd been battered into unconsciousness. Getting her wits about her, she quickly got to her feet and fled the opera house. There was somebody she needed to warn *

**NEW DAY**
Melody stumbled into the foyer, looking utterly perplexed at her surroundings. Slowly, she turned in a circle, taking everything in. In her arms she clutched her laptop, holding it almost as though it were a floatation device and she were adrift at sea.
“Um…hello?” She said uncertainly, her voice echoing in the room.

King Menelaus of Sparta was wandering about in his costume. As long as he was dressed like this in here, everyone mistook him for belonging to the cast, and did not kick him out, even if he was carrying a real sword.
He noticed a beautiful lady wandering in the foyer. She was BLOND, just like Helen... He approached her gently and bowed politely.
"May I help you, milady?"
He asked in his deep voice.

*She jumped a little at his voice, turning to see who it was. He was dressed...in a costume?
Well, it made sense--it was almost Halloween.
She smiled hesitantly*
"Er, I'm a little lost. I just left my house and somehow I'm here now."

((Halloween *giggles* That's a good one ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) )) King Menelaus smiled warmly. Women. No sense of direction. A good thing he was there to help her out. "Do you remember where your house is, Miss? I might be capable of helping you find your way back home. Now you are in the Opera House, in Paris." He didn't like to pronounce the name of his rival every time he mentioned the name of the city. Couldn't Helen have escaped somewhere else? What was wrong about Rome?

*She blinked at him. Paris?*
"But...but I can't be in Paris! My house is in Ohio!" She stammered.

King Menelaus shrugged.
And I thought Greek women were bad at finding directions!
He was smart enough not to say his thought out loud.
"Really? Well, my castle is in Greece, but I am still in Paris."

Greece?
He was dressed right, but for the wrong century...and he did look Mediterranean...
"Did you just step out of your house and then find yourself in this city, too?"

Menelaus chuckled with laughter.
"Oh no, I came here in my boat."
After the fall of Troy, when my wife Helen ran away, and I had to chase after her.... again!

"Maybe I can get home, by boat."
*She moved a bit closer, though not much, her expression hopeful*
"Could you direct me to the docks?"

King Menelaus of Sparta smiled warmly.
"Naturally. First you walk straigth down Champs Elysées. Then you take the third street to the left, past the restaurant with the green curtains. You walk three hundred meters from there and goes left. Walk through the narrow passage through the slum area- and don't stop! After the slum area you go right, through the park, then pass the bridge over the river. The docks would be on the other side. It is not far - only 8 hours to walk!"
It was easy for him to say of course, being trained as a soldier and being from a time long before the cars were invented.

*She blanched. While the directions weren't hard to remember--she had a good memory--the amount of time was another thing*
"Eight hours? Um...I don't have a car...maybe I can rent a taxi."
How she'd do that without any Euros, she didn't know.

*Menelaus stared blankly at her. He, of course, had never heard of a car before, and didn't know what the heck she was talking about. Neither had he heard the word taxi.*
"Eight hours is not long, lady. It takes 48 hours to run from Marathon to Athens."
