Adrien quietly trailed behind Aideen and their child, Edur. He found his gaze flickering constantly from the contours of their familiar figures to the bustle of daily circus life in unconcealed curiosity.
Around him, animals and their trainers wound their way from their cages to the main tent, which had gone dun with the passage of time. Workers hauled crates and pegged tent flaps to the ground, circus talents honed their dagger-throwing or fire-swallowing or juggling abilities, all individuals seemingly unaware of the slight chill in the morning air and of the fact that the sun had hardly broken the surface of the horizon.

Aideen said hello to a few people that waved, stopped and talked to a pair of gymnastic twins and introduced them to Adrien.
After a bit they arrived at her tent by the Ferris Wheel.

"What about Edur?" he inquired, a trace of concern seeping into his voice. "Where does he stay while you work?"

"There are a few teenage girls here that stay with him and watch him, they are very responsible don't you worry about it."

He'd begun to nod his assent when his gaze fell upon several young women off to the side, flinging daggers at a large target. Their weapons twirled with ethereal grace through the air and hit their mark with deadly accuracy, even sinking several inches into the cork of the board.
"...I'm not so sure I can trust them."

She followed his gaze and laughed "They're all acrobats, and they've been watching him since three weeks after he was born. I trust them as much as I trust myself dear."

"If you insist," he said with a bit of reluctance. "And your place of work? Is it near here?"

She pointed up to a large stage, partially covered in tent "I have to keep the ceiling open, don't want to catch it on fire after all."

"Of course not," he chuckled. "But precisely how fiery can you get?"
He remained ignorant of the terrible pun.

"You should know" she had the men close the tent and she hopped up on the stage and removed removed her robes. She was wearing what would be considered a bathing suit in modern times with a fur collared long coat. Exhaling, her hands and feet erupted in flames. Beginning a gymnastics routine that would allow her to write messages using the fire. ((The coat is a little hard to explain but it basically looks like this, scroll down a bit and the third clickable picture.))

Adrien felt his breath catch in his throat, awed as he was at the incredible development of her powers within his absence.

Standing on her hands, she lifted her legs in the air, a fire slowly building beneath her and lifting her off the ground. She began to spin, slowly at first then quickly.
She was causing a small Tonado.
After a moment of this, it disappeared leaving her standing untouched in the center with a smile "And that's just the show stuff."

"Your powers...the fire..." he began, quickly finding that his mind and his tongue were not cooperating together as well as they should have been. Frustrated, he simply said, "You looked spectacular up there."
