Slytherin's colors are silver and green because Loki suggested it to old Salazar. Loki is the epitome of Slytherin.

It's fascinating that you say that, because I have actually thought about this a lot and I think that most of the Thor characters would be Slytherins. (Though you could argue very well for Jane being a Ravenclaw, Slytherin would still fit.)

Thor is The Loudest Gryffindor, though. And Darcy is a Hufflepuff.

I don't find that particularly surprising.

Yeah, but Thor and Darcy aren't the only characters.

I can picture even Frigga in that 'verse as a Slytherin, now that you've mentioned it. @_@

Well, it's suggested pretty hard in the deleted scenes that Loki is her bb in the same way Thor was very much Odin's, so there's probably a big commonality of personality there.
I actually see Odin as a Hufflepuff too- his chief traits are, after all, pragmatism and valuing the realm over individuals, which are extremes of practicality and loyalty, the chief Hufflepuff traits when the house is defined beyond leftovers.
I'm not sure suemegan is a Hufflepuff anymore, though. I suspect she, and I, might belong to Gryffindor after all. There's that whole brashness thing going on.

Earlier this year I had the same revelation about myself (that I might be a Gryffindor). I was the most miserable person in 9 realms.
Odin'd fit into Slytherin too though. And so would pre-humility-learning Thor. Even if they wouldn't all be SORTED into the house, I just find it remarkable how many of the characters in a big action movie would make good Slytherins. Being self-serving in any narrative usually puts you automatically on the bad side.

But pre-character-growth!Thor is so...
He's just not cunning enough for Slytherin, you know? I mean, I can see him pulling a flashback!bb!James and ironically reflecting Malfoy by going "Who'd want to be in Slytherin? I think I'd leave..." And Pettigrew, self-serving and ultimately villainous as he was, was a Gryffindor too. Thor just seems like a grab bag of both the best and worst Gryffindor traits.
Moving out of that movie and into the general Marvel movieverse, Steve Rogers is undoubtedly Hufflepuff. I'm not sure if Tony is Ravenclaw, Gryffindor or Slytherin, to be honest.

Are you like, trying to miss my point? I was just really impressed by how nearly everyone could fit into Slytherin. I already said I don't mean that's necessarily where nearly everyone would be SORTED. >.<
I'm so not on board with the notion that you can intrinsically *be* any particular house, because not only is that bogus within the HP universe itself, it doesn't apply elsewhere - you get sorted at age 11, and Loki, who is the epitome of Slytherin, was probably a Ravenclaw at that age, etc.
Tony is so not a Ravenclaw though. (Maybe, like Loki, when he was younger.) I'd go Slytherin or Gryffindor, but probably the latter, because of the way he is so Big Damn Heroes about everything and how he decides to no longer make weapons.

Christine is a Gryffindor, assuming we're going by D&D rules and bards count as magic.
Julia would like to think she's a Ravenclaw, but she's really a Slytherin. And possibly the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher.
(As a side note, Pottermore put me in Gryffindor. I think many of my characters would disagree.)

My self insert is most obviously Slytherin (Same as me in real life although I'm still clinging on to my Ravenclaw roots).
Dan is Gryffindor. Elrik is SO Slytherin. Jay is probably Slytherin. Dick is hard to decided but probably Gryffindor. Mystique is Slytherin (though you could argue for Ravenclaw)
