"Hmmm."
Working on a farm, she'd had to lift some heavy things, without help.
"I think I could."

Eddy smiled "Well if you can't, and I am not saying that you can't, I promise to use all my strength to get it for you."

"Oh, that would be very nice of you." She said, smiling.
Just then, it was her turn at the game. She'd finished the cotton candy, and after throwing away the stick it had come on, she walked up to the strength machine and wacked the mallet down as hard as she could. It almost, but not quite, hit the halfway mark.

Eddy pouted "Uncool" he nicely took the mallet from her and slammed down on the machine, hitting it to the bell "you said unicorn right?"
Before he'd lost all his powers he managed to make himself unnaturally strong, simply because he could.

"Yes, please." She said, smiling appreciatively.
"I was sure I would get it myself...ah, well."

"A Unicorn and one of those small bears please" the man sighed and handed him the stuffed animals.
He turned with a small twirl and handed her the unicorn "I'm Eddy by the way."

"Arigato," she said as she took the unicorn and tucked it under her arm.
"Oh! I am O--er, Yaoya Oshichi." She'd almost forgotten to use the Western name order.

"Dozo yorokshiku o negaishimasu" he bowed with a smile, his japanese flawless "you look like you need some more cotton candy."

She brightened considerably when he spoke her native tongue.
"Oh! I didn't think anyone here spoke my language!"

He laughed and responded in Japanese "<I lived in Japan for quite a while, and although many people knew English, it was easier for me to communicate if I knew what they were saying behind my back.>"

Yaoya laughed.
"<I see your point. I learned English and when I came here realized that I didn't know the local language. I'm lucky that the Parisians know English, too.>"
It was nice to speaking in Japanese again--although her English was good, she felt that she still sounded a bit stilted and awkward with it at times, and she didn't sound anywhere near as eloquent as when speaking Japanese.

"<They know everything around here, no matter what you speak, there will be someone who speaks it better>" Eddy chuckled "<Paris has become the melting pot for this century.>"

She nodded.
"<So, Eddy, how do you know Japanese?>"

((...ugh, I forgot she asked already. *headdesk*))
She sighed.
"<Yes, sorry. But, I did not think many foreigners came--they're not very welcome.>"
