Susanna ran up the stair to the roof crying all the way. She didn't know who or what to believe anymore.
Completely out of breath and exhausted, she went over to the Apollo statue ((There IS a statue of Apollo...right?)) and sat down, burrying her face in her hands.

((Who cares? It's the Sueniverse!))
Alexander watched from the shadows and let her cry for a moment.
"It's interesting that you chose to kneel by the god of wisdom," he said quietly, stepping into the moonlight.

((XD So true~ And wasn't it like...morning or about noon when the whole cafe thing happened? ;D))
Susanna didn't look up. "What do you want?" She said quietly.

((Oh Christ. Just go with it. Say it was late afternoon and now some hours have passed, ok?))
"I want to talk to you," Alexander said quietly. He came closer and stood just behind her. She could have leaned against him.
"I found something out that I think you should hear."

((XD yea...and Syd came by too so...I guess it could work. )) The logical voice in her wanted to listen but the sue part but her heart didn't. Susanna bit her lip, "If it's anything about Raoul or our engagement, I don't want to hear it."

Alexander dropped his hands to her shoulders and held her gently.
"That is a pity," he said calmly, "because it concerns both things. And so I am afraid that you must hear me out."
He slid one strong hand around her throat and gently tilted her head up so she was forced to look up at him.
"Your lover has decieved you. He is not divorced; and he has married more than one other woman while this has been occuring."
He stared down in her eyes.
"I assume that here, this is not done?"

((Raoul better deny this sh*t... )) Susanna shot up and faced him, trembling with rage. She slapped him, "How dare you?" she shouted, the sound of her slap still resonating within her ears. "What do you hope to accomplish with these lies?"

Alexander reached out, caught her shoulders, and pressed her sharply against the statue.
"I am a king," he growled. "I do not lie!"
"Only have I ever spoken the truth to your ears!"

Susanna cried out as he pushed her against the statue.
"The absense of truth is all the same!" She shouted, refering to the other night. "You can't say you've always told me the truth!"
She regained her composure. "And Raoul isn't that kind of man..." Susanna said, shaking her head.
((*cough cough*))

Alexander stared down at her.
"I did not lie to you!" he shouted, gripping her shoulders tightly. It unconciously brought their bodies flush against each other.
"I have seen solid proof, Susanna, of your husband's treachery," he whispered, gently pressing his cheek to hers.

Susanna closed her eyes to the sensation of his warm cheeks and drew in a trembling breath.
His fingers were digging into her shoulders with bruising firmness. "You're hurting me..." she whispered.

"As he will hurt you with hate, so I shall hurt you in love," he breathed, sliding his face against hers.
He pulled back a little and looked at her.
"Doubt me not, Susanna. He will hurt you."

Susanna rested her head against his shoulders and embraced him, staying silent for a few moments...
"Trust me when I say he won't..." She whispered against his neck.

Alexander held her tightly, ignoring the wind and the cold.
"It is unwise for a daughter of the gods to place herself within temptation," he said gently.
"I cannot stand idly by and watch you marry him, knowing he will hurt you."
He rested his forehead on her shoulder and gently pressed his lips against her neck.

Susanna stayed silent, savoring the sensation...
"...Let me make my mistakes, then." She said tearfully.
