*Aria gracefully stepped out onto the roof and made her way over the the low wall around the edge. Her skirt swirled around her in the light breeze, and the moonlight lit up her hair, causing it to have sparkling silver highlights rather than the red that usually graced her brown hair. She sat down on the wall, for the moment unaware of the potential danger of her position, and gazed off into the distance. The silvery light illumined her now sea-green eyes, exposing their sadness to anyone who should chance to catch sight of them.*
Oh dear, why must I begin thinking of him again? I thought I had put him out of my mind over a year ago after he left! I really ought to be thinking of my voice, I suppose, since I shall never be able to sing here. No one truly wants to have an alto, and I was foolish to think otherwise! But now I'm thinking about him, and I simply can't forget about him anymore! I wish I could forget, but I can't!
*She sighed as she turned both feet over the wall, allowing herself to sit fully facing outwards toward the city, and both feet dangling prettily over the side of the wall.*
"Oh, William..." *she said in a low whisper.*

((hey! nice to see you're active again--its Rose btw--just got a new chara))
Louis felt, rather than heard, the young girl move across the rooftop above him. He had been lurking in the upper rafters of the Opera House, he had watched as the last rays of the sunset disappear, and had been waiting, not wanting to move from his rather cozy position. However, the presence of a human changed that, and once he felt her pass, Louis crawled out from where he was, and with an unhuman ease vaulted himself higher to where he easily slipped out onto the roof. The brown-haired girl had continued to the edge and now sat with her feet dangling over the edge, seemingly not noticing his appearence. Louis drew himself up to his full hight and stepped out into the moonlight. He couldn't hold back a sigh, it felt wonderful to be back out in the open air again, much less his native france. He allowed his silver eyes to gaze out over the city for a moment how long has it been since you where here, Louis? he asked himself. The moonlight gleamed off of his pale skin, making him look as though he has been carved from marble, his usualy blonde hair looked silver. His attention was drawn back tot he girl in front of him when she spoke. Her voice was soft, delicate... Louis allowed himself to exmine her from the back further. she really was a darling girl, petite, and her hair shown in the moonlight, creating patterns in the moonlight that fascinated his sensitive eyes.

((Thanks! Yeah, I've been pretty inactive of late, haven't I?))
*Aria caught her breath as she thought she heard someone let out a sigh behind her. She quickly steadied herself, reassuring herself that it was probably just one of the other girls coming up onto the roof. It seemed they were always searching for a place to be alone and mourn their troubles. She considered turning and greeting the other person, but felt reluctant to end her time alone so quickly.
She let out another musical sigh as her thoughts began to drift again. Then she began to sing quietly, her beautiful alto voice floating easily across the rooftop.*

((thats alright, the board was dead for awhile anyways, I'm glad its up again))
Louis froze as the faint strands of her voice began to weave around him. It was so pure, so innocent. He could barely contain himself, oh he had visited Operas and Theaters across the years, but all of the Diva's had been so harsh, so unemotional. This light, untrained voice had captured such longing... Finaly resigning to himself, he approached her, his boots making no noise on the hard surface. when he was standing just behind her, he made sure that his steps were heard, not wanting to startle her. "Bonjour Mademoiselle" he said, with a slight bow.

*Aria stopped as Louis spoke, slightly startled. She quickly turned around, her hair spinning with her like a light breeze. At the sight of the young man, she sprang lightly to her feet and gave him a graceful curtsy.*
"Bonjour, Monsieur," *she said, in a voice that was low and yet innocently beautiful.*

Louis took her hand and brushed his lips across it. "I could not resist meeting the source of that beautiful voice" he said smoothly, his french slightly accented.

*Aria blushed and lightly bent her head downward. He had called her voice beautiful!*
"Thank you, Monsieur," she said, "but I'm afraid you give me too much credit."

Louis smiled gently, "ah contrair, mademoiselle" he said, "it is quite lovely, truely. You'll find I am not a man for meaningless flattery. tell me, do you sing here at the opera?"

Aria blushed again and smiled a little. "Merci, monsieur. I'm still rather new here, and haven't had much chance to sing yet. I- I'm afraid... well, altos aren't held in much regard, I suppose." She brightened a little. "I am trying to become a soprano, though. Perhaps someday I shall..."

"oh no" he said, his harsh features softening, "you should never change what you are for others...besides, this opera is full of screaching soprano's" he winked a cold blue eye "It's a unique gift, you should use it"

Aria looked up at him, her eyes shining in pleasant surprise. No one had ever spoken so kindly of her alto range before. "You really think so?"

Aria's eyes seemed to transform into a radiant blue as she continued to smile. "Oh, thank you!" she breathed joyously. "That means ever so much to me."

Louis smiled, and turned away from aria for a moment, gesturing towards the city below them. "stunning view, oui?"
