No, she realized. She was wrong. She remembered him snapping like that at Adrian, and Adrian having to tranquilize him.

Goats, a voice in her head said. He used to say everyone on Midgard was like a goat or some other thing, everyone but you. But now he's changed his mind. Maybe he's even starting to resent you.
