She laughed, feeling dizzy, as though from loss of blood all over again. "I don't know how that happened or what any of them see in me, really."

"I was just having that same conversation with myself."

"Well, you look damn good anyway," she said with another laigh, gesturing at him.

He looked down and chuckled "Thanks and honestly same to you" he looked up with a smirk "Adrian speaks highly of you and barring one or two discrepancies he's always been a fantastic judge of character."

She looked down at her ahoes, somehow in the midst of both shyness and smugness. "Well, that's good to know." So he'd spoken of her. Not unsurprising, since he'd spoken of Dan as well. "He's spoken of you too. I guess you're like the vigilante version of a high school sweetheart?"

So he'd told her, not that he was upset, but it at least allowed him to be more open.
"More like I was enamored but unsure of my sexuality until a series of unfortunate events brought us together 20 years later" he laughed "many years ago we happened to meet up in Bangkok and I drove him around on a Vespa and scared the shit out of him. It was honestly then that I understood what my teenage gut had been telling me at least when it came to him. College experimentation allowed for the pieces to kinda fall in to place."
The kettle started boiling and he turned it off quickly and used a mitt to pick it up and pour it in to the cup. He gently placed the cup on to a small plate and sat it down next to her "Careful."

Adrian scared shitless on a Vespa, clinging for dear life onto a man who, in Adrian's own words, was built like a linebacker. Good Lord.
"Thanks. Do you have any honey?"

"Absolutely" he grabbed it from the cabinet and set it down "I like the kind that comes in the little bear."

"Fitting."
God, had she really said that out loud? She had the grace to look embarrassed.

"I-" he paused before breaking in to a big belly laugh.

She smiled, though it was more of a grimace of embarrassment. "I'm sorry about that...."

"There's nothing to be sorry for, it was funny and we'll- accurate."
He poured himself another cup of coffee and filled it with three spoonfuls of sugar.

Teja checked her phone, but she thought the tea should steep longer.
"If it helps any, I'm not straight either - I'm not like, being too weird, at least I don't think."

"You're fine" he chuckled in to his coffee and made a face before throwing another spoonful of sugar in. "Sexuality is a facinating and ever evolving subject" he replied plainly "it's odd to be counted among the community, at the same time is kind of freeing." He shrugged his shoulders and took another drink of his coffee, this time finishing with a smile.

"It's just sort of whatever for me, but that could be for a lot of reasons," she said vaguely. "I'm not a stranger to its evolution though."
Her own sexuality seemed basically consistent; the only issues she was having currently were with a vampire. Her fiancé's, however...
