Sarah sat bent over the rolltop desk, a laptop open in front of her and a mess of papers strewn around her. Now that the Coronation was over, it was time to plan her wedding--and she had learned, very quickly, that royal weddings took about ten times as much effort and planning than regular weddings. While she certainly wasn't afraid to take charge of planning an event, she'd never had to plan for something like this. She had started to feel overwhelmed when she realized that she'd have help with this, just like with the Coronation. Even with the extra pairs of hands, though, it was making her dizzy. Some of the more intricate details, like what dignitary should or shouldn't sit next to who, left her reeling. At least she had Jay to keep her sane throughout all of it. Speaking of whom...
She sat up and glanced around the room that was called an office, but Sarah felt that it needed a much grander description, though she couldn't think of one. The ostentatiousness of the palace was one of the many things that she wasn't used to yet. Jay wasn't in sight, though that wasn't strange. This place was so big that she figured that she'd always be losing people in it.
"Uh...Jay?" She called out, hoping he was close enough to hear. "You there?"

((Oh, the hell with it. About time they met anyway))
"No, your Grace," Michelle said from her place in the shadows. "Only me."
Ever since the new sovereign had moved into her new quarters, Michelle had been keeping a steady watch on Buckingham Palace. She wasn't shirking her duties as a monster hunter, and there were times when monsters wandered too close to the royal grounds. Security here was primitive compared to what she was used to, and so Michelle didn't have much difficulty in keeping herself hidden from the regular guards. It didn't hurt that a lot of her patrols over the royal grounds were done on the roof. Some time had passed, during which Michelle had tried to figure out how to introduce herself to the new queen in a way that wouldn't frightened her. Michelle had come to the conclusion that there wasn't really any way to do it like that, and so she'd decided to just reveal herself when the queen was alone. She'd first researched how you were supposed to address a queen, since there weren't any in Michelle's world. She only hoped that she'd picked the right word.

Sarah almost screamed at the unexpected voice coming out of nowhere, and she clapped a hand over her own mouth as she stared at the far corner of the room. Standing there in the shadows she could see the outline of a woman.
Trying to slow her racing heart, Sarah slowly got to her feet, trying to not to let her fright show.
"Who's there?"
She couldn't even think of who would be skulking about watching her. The only one that came to mind was that man from her strange dream, and the voice, and figure, was clearly a woman.

Michelle only knew the Queen from a distance, but from what she'd seen, the woman was made of fairly strong stuff. She hoped that her assessment of her was right. The hunter stepped out of the shadows, making sure that the Queen could see that her hands were empty.
"I'm Michelle Tan, your Grace. You don't know me, but I'm here to tell you that I'm helping your security keep you safe. There's more danger out there than just your average thug."

Sarah couldn't believe her eyes. It was her! The one from the dream!
"You're real," she said. "I kept wondering what that dream meant."

Michelle nodded, both to herself and the Queen. Good. She'd been right about the other woman. No hysterics from the new sovereign.
"Yes. I thought it was time we met in person."
Still making sure that the Queen could see that she wasn't holding any weapons, Michelle walked further into the room and sat down in lounge chair.
"Can we speak for a moment, your Grace?" She said, gesturing to the chair opposite her.

"Uh...yes. Of course."
She quickly moved to the chair and sat down, smoothing her skirts as she did. With Michelle, Sarah got that feeling that she always did when she was around one of 'her' characters. Michelle was one that didn't think she'd actually meet, however. The circles they moved in were so different.
"So, ah, what did you want to talk about?"

Michelle gave her a small smile.
"Besides wanting to introduce myself, I wanted to talk to you about security. I think there are some improvement that could be made that wouldn't strain the Kingdom's finances."

Sarah blinked in response. Michelle's answer hadn't been what she'd expected her to say.
"Oh...uh. What did you have in mind?"

The Queen's answer caught her off guard. Her easy acceptance of Michelle, in fact, also did. Sarah seemed completely at ease with her, despite the fact that their only interactions were through a strange dream and this one meeting.
"Well, if I'm not presuming too much, I'd suggest we hire a few more guards who are versed in dealing with the supernatural."

What Michelle didn't know was that Sarah always tended to feel this way around 'her' characters. Sarah doubted she'd ever be intimidated or afraid of any of them. Well. Except for Daniel, but he was...different.
"Oh! That sounds very reasonable, and not presumptuous at all!"
Michelle's deference, and that of the others in the palace, was something that Sarah suspected she'd never really get used to. Hopefully Michelle would eventually feel at ease enough to be less formal.
"Um, do you know how to contact people like that?"
While she'd had several run-ins with the supernatural element of the world, Sarah had never heard much about those who fought them professionally.

Despite the fact that she tried not to form opinions about someone until she'd known them longer, Michelle found herself already starting to like the Queen.
"I have a few contacts I can call who would be happy to have the job. Being a hunter is not exactly a high-paying profession."
But as long as people are safe, I can handle low pay.

She nodded at Michelle's comment about pay. People didn't exactly put out ads in the paper saying they were hiring hunters.
"Of course, they'd be well-compensated for their trouble."

"All right, I can set that up later. But for now...I want to ask you about the dream."

A strange chill went through Sarah at the mention of the dream. It wasn't entirely a feeling of fright, but it wasn't pleasant, either.
"Have you ever met the other two? I don't know them."
Well, being a comic book nerd she knew who the Winter Soldier was in the sense that she knew her lore, but that was it. The other woman was a complete mystery to her.
