Teja subduedly re-dressed herself, still trying to get her bearings. Loki was, not surprisingly, swaggering around like the cat who caught the canary, speaking in a pleased drawl and being physically intimate with her in a possessive way - she could tell he was enjoying this, and that it was, if not sexually then in general, fuelling his equal enjoyment of his newly claimed godhood. He disappeared to greet his adoring public, and she had the feeling he would be gone most of the day, from the way he prepared himself for it. He took a kiss before he left, and took was really the only word she could think of. She was starting to feel overwhelmed, but not in an entirely good way. She'd wanted this, or at least this sort of thing, and getting any of it was exhilarating - but Loki wasn't quite doing it right, or at least not in the way that was right for her. She didn't know how to address it, though; he was enjoying himself too much. She respected Loki, she liked him, but it was difficult to really view him as an authority figure. It was, of course, not necessary to be an authority figure to engage in kinky sex in the dominant position, and Teja felt that Loki would be comfortable either role-playing or taking on a dominant role with her permanently. But she didn't think she would ever be more than role-playing with him. He couldn't be taken seriously in that role. But especially now of all times it would crush Loki to hear those words, particularly from her, no matter how innocent or neutral her intentions. Teja collapsed on their couch with a frustrated sigh and turned on their television out of nervous habit, not really being a television watcher - Loki was the only one who tended to earnestly watch tv. Her posture straightened, then stiffened; Loki was on tv. As the interview unraveled, the enormity of what happened shook her. She turned it off in shock, and all of a sudden found herself crying. She collected herself, but no course of action presented itself to her. Usually she would vent to David, who would blink in a calming way and smile fixedly and tell her it would be "all right, ma'am"; but David was, of course, currently in Greece with Adrian Veidt. Of course, she could call Adrian Veidt...

Clark had been informed of the news conference, he'd even packed his press kit up but decided instead to leave it at home.
It didn't take too long to get there and he was all ready running late, but when you could fly at the speed of sound it wasn't as if he had to worry about the metro.
Landing behind the reporters he suddenly missed Lois more than ever. If she were here she'd have hidden behind a building and filmed everything.
He cleared his throat as the entire crowd of press turned to look at him "If uh you guys don't mind, why doesn't everyone take a ten? I have a few things to talk to our new friend about. Once I'm done I'm sure he'll be more ran glad to keep answering your questions."

Loki's eyes widened, very briefly, before he forced a look of aloof nonconcern back onto his face.
"My, what a gratifying day for all of you, yes? If you'll just... give me a moment-"
The crowd parted, looking between them in confused awe as Loki approached the newcomer.

"Sorry for interrupting" he wasn't really but the time was right "I'd prefer if we spoke in private, that is if you don't mind."

Clark returned the smile, his however was made for tv and from what he'd been told charming as hell.
He turned and nodded at a building a ways away and jumped too it. Loki would be waiting for him and if his personality was anything to gauge him by would say something like what took you so long?

Loki was, indeed, leaning against the base of the water tower, inspecting his cuticles.
"Afternoon."

Clark lost his smile and put his fists to his waists "Loki" he rolled the name around in his mouth "I imagine this isn't a name you chose for yourself?"

"You're called Superman, " Loki scoffed. "You're hardly one to talk."

"Is this the standard welcome wagon, then? I would have anticipated a fruit basket, at least. That's a thing they do around here, yes? Occasionally there are little sausages in plastic-"

"Heroes are illegal" Clark stopped him "I'm sure seeing as you once dabbled in politics you'd know that." He tried to dial down his tone, but he was never very good at catering to cockiness. "So I'm afraid you'll have to wait for your gift basket," Clark didn't smile, "I'm sure you, me and Captain Rogers are in quite some trouble after last night." He lifted his chin just slightly "Although the good Captain has been fairly active for the better part of a year; it seems some of us just can't take a hint."
Clark wondered how their brazen disregard for the law in the past two days would affect the public opinion on heroes. He hoped it would sway them in their opinion, he however didn't believe Loki should be the face of that movement.

"We-ell, aside from that little plot twist- he's called Captain America, for goodness' sake, you'd suppose that would give him immunity, wouldn't you-"
He stopped, and smiled again.
"Speaking of immunity- the diplomatic kind. I'm pretty sure I have it."

"So you are the Loki then?" Although he'd believed Megan completely, it wasn't something he was wholly prepared for. However the admittance changed nothing "It would require proof of Asgard and your role within to provide you with such immunity."
