The fish came up soon and John picked them up quickly, leaving a sizable tip.
He inhaled deeply as he sat down and memories came running back, like the sun rising on a Sunday afternoon. He saw himself coming in with a few boys from school, friends he'd forgotten. He saw his father bringing him in as a gift for getting his apprenticeship, he saw his wife laying lazily in the corner with a glass of wine.

László sat in companionable silence, taking in the atmosphere of the place while enjoying the meal. It was a simple pleasure, sitting down with family, but it was one he always looked forward to.
