The driver perked up "Oi, you're gonna wanna go to Sullivan's."
"Oh my god I haven't been to Sullivan's in years! Do you know if Edward is still working there?"
"Eddy? That old codga ain't neva gonna die."

László sat back, content. So far, this vacation thing was going juuuust right.

A couple minutes later they found themselves outside of Sullivan's, it was just as dark and just as dingy as John remembered "Doesn't look like much, but trust me when I say this is the best fish and chip place in London."

Marie hopped out of the car and grinned "Looks like good eats" she laughed "the clean places never give you enough food and it always tastes like soap."

"Isn't that how it works?" László said with a grin. "It's always the tiny mom-and-pop store that has the great stuff."

John laughed and threw an arm around László's waist "Sounds about right."
He pushed open the door and allowed Marie and László to go in front of him, inhaling the very familiar scent of oil and fish. If he were anyone else it probably would have smelled horrid, but to John it was like a blast to the past.
"Welcome dearies" an older woman behind the counter greeted them with a smile and a cigarette, her voice was as cracked as her skin, but there was something very youthful about her bright brown eyes "wot can I get ya?"
John smiled "Three fish and chip baskets, two cokes and László?"

László drew a blank for a moment. He didn't really know anything about English cooking.
"Uh...what would you recommend?"

"Add one more fish and chips and another coke" he smiled and pulled out is wallet.
The old woman took a hard look at John for a second "You look just like William Bristow's boy." John's head shot up from his wallet and seemed to be caught off guard.
"Yes that's my father" he stuttered "I didn't know-"
"S'shame when he died" she took Johns money and hit the register button "you got 'is eyes you know." John just stared wide eyed at the woman and laughed softly "And you got yer mothers laugh" she gave him his change "be ready innabout 15."
"I- thank you" they walked over to a table and sat down. John was a little bewildered, was it happenstance? He shouldn't be recognized so many years later, not by a woman he rarely saw. His family had made an impression apparently.

László had watched the exchange with a bit of surprise.
"Your dad's...dead? I...didn't know that." He said softly. "Sorry."

"Yea he died a couple years after Marie was born, my mom-" he smiled "-mom's still kicking around."
He and his mother hadn't spoken since his wife had died, it wasn't that they disliked each other, but many of his lifestyle choices hadn't been what she'd wanted for her boy. They still loved each other, but it was always an argument.

"Grandpa made me a doll one time, it looked like mum" Marie played idly with her hair as they waited "it got destroyed" she shrugged and leaned back in the chair.

"As far as I know, both my parents are still alive."
László didn't remember anything of his father and only had vague recollections of his mother, none of which had ever been much for him to go by. He knew their names, and had never seen their names appear in the obituaries when he still lived in Dracheheim, but that was it. Having lived in Paris for some time now, he had no easy way to check on that anymore.

"Is that something you'd want to look in to?"

László glanced down.
"I still don't know if I can even face them." He said softly.

"Then we wont" he reached down and grabbed Lászlós hand.
