Nina's young leg bent just slightly, knee lifting and pressing against the outside of his. There was a subtle transfer of her weight onto him so that she could still support herself.
"Like you?"

"I'll have to see if there's anything to suit you belowdecks."

"Oh, more of your hideously-patterned menswear?"
She was trying to pout at him, but since the death of her parents, Nina had entirely ceased taking comfort in ownership of things - except his hideously-patterned shirt. Her fondness of it, of him, overpowered her pout. She buried her face in his chest instead.

"Why, Nina, you noticed."
He kissed the top of her head, and would have kissed her mouth if he could, cupping her tender young face in his hands.
"I've still got a few surprises left, I hope. You'll just have to see."

"Take me there."

In another time of life, he would have carried her down to the lower berth like the spoils of war, but leading her there quite emphatically (and physically) served well enough.

Nina felt a little on display, and was thankful he didn't have too many hired men about. She wished he could have arrived when she was in her jogging attire, and instantly wished it away. No, she didn't want to be picked up like a co-ed; it was better in the swimsuit, embarrassing though it was. At least let me appear glamorous...

A slim young blonde in a bathing suit could hardly fail to be glamorous. Silva kept an arm tossed around her, and narrated the ship's interior to her in between squeezes and lascivious glances in the dimming light.
"And the bed, you see, hardly slept-in --"

"Yes, Raoul, I see the bed," she said, as though speaking to a boy of roughly Silva's libido but roughly Nina's age.

Silva sulked in a way that made his chin dimple charmingly.

Nina lifted her hands as though to touch his face, but instead she eased the blazer off his shoulders. She wanted to undress him a bit before her own swimsuit came off. It was the only thing she was wearing, after all.

His solid body was a little stiff in the process of undressing, but this went along happily enough; with Nina it went like a game -- all the sweeter because the stakes were considerably higher for one player than the other.
"No need to be too formal. It's just us down here, mm? Just us." Whether this meant him and his blazer or her and her scruples, he did not specify.

"I'm not being formal," she said, kissing him to impart that knowledge more sincerely. "I'm taking my time. You dress so nicely, it would be a great shame if I didn't appreciate it before all your carefully-selected clothing was gone."
She was trying to imprint this moment to memory; for all her idealizations of him and his returning for her like this she didn't know how long it would last, and she was certain that if they had another terrible falling out it would be permanent - well, if it wasn't, it meant she was taking a terrible man back again and again because she loved him so pathetically. Everyone would think poorly of her. In fact, she was not so certain they wouldn't already, but...

"I dress expensively," he muttered against her neck, mock-correcting her assertion with his teeth scraping her throat, hands busy at work on her in turn. "Do I seem nice to you, mm?"

Nina gently pulled back; pull back roughly, and he might think that he'd hurt her. He had, but not in a way she didn't like.
"No," she confessed after a taut moment, in a low voice; the word almost caught in her throat. "No, you don't seem nice."
