In Paris For a While

The Parisian branch of LexCorp was doing well in acquiring land and neighborhoods for re-development and had managed to keep the locals happy by pouring millions in to historical restoration and retrofitting of the cities miles of underground tunnels and catacombs. The government was satisfied and in a show of good faith, backed off on their inquiries and kept their noses clean by staying out of places they weren't welcome.
The New York branch, which showily closed it's doors two months previous and was publicly sold to a "private" firm for "charity", was now being renovated in to Taskforce HQ. Rumors circulated about the project; what the public understood was that it was to be the location for a private security firm and that Tony Stark was somehow involved. Lex didn't care what they said or what they knew, that wasn't his priority. His priority was getting the building finished, the heroes situated and missions started.
Somehow his campaign (with the exclusion of Lukas Ashton) was going off without a hitch. A few candidates had stepped up to the plate, but none in either of the major parties. Not a single democrat had come out of the woodwork to oppose him, but they had until the un-offical deadline of November 1st to declare a bid for the presidency so he was ready for any surprises.
Regina was spending more and more time away from the office and he worried about her loyalty. She was charismatic but cold and he couldn't get a legitimate read on her if he tried. She was more useful to him than he'd initially expected; her mind was a map of strategies and information, Lex needed her as sort of a external hard drive for his mind.
"Download my brain?" Lex rubbed his chin and neck "like a Lex Luthor AI?" He turned his chair to face his computer "If I can create an android what's stopping me from creating- I mean, rumor has it Stark created one from scratch. If that simpleton could do it-" a screen popped up suddenly with the face of his newest assistant "Yes what is it?"
"Your 6 o'clock is here."
"There's nothing in my schedule about a six o'clock, send them away."
"Sir-"
"And even if there was, It's five fifteen."
"But sir-"
"I don't have time today, unless it's the god damn president I don't want to be disturbed."
There was a pause "Yes sir."
Lex turned back to the windows behind his desk and frowned "An AI..."
