At a crosswalk, they paused, and she turned to look up at him. Perhaps this had been true of him in life as well, but he really did look as though he had been made to never stand in the sunlight. It did highlight the angles of his face flatteringly, but did very little for his coloring.
"I wasn't expecting a straightforward answer, you know."

He offered her his arm, which from him consisted of stiffly holding it out and looking expectant.

She felt after all his kindnesses today, it would have been rude not to take his arm, but she could feel her heart speeding a bit, and she was certain he noticed.

"I'm used to it," she said in the soothing way that had become second-nature when dealing with Loki, though of course, she couldn't stroke Krolock's hair at the same time.
