The Big Dig

Indiana had taken the first flight home from Paris.
He was done with boats for a while.
His original purpose for even being in London was to head to a dig, in an area of London, he'd never even heard of. He was sure it wasn't even London anymore, but those at the museum said it had all ways been there.
He accepted this, as he'd never really known very much about London in the first place.
Of course, before any thing could happen with this mysterious London dig, he'd been swept away to Paris on an adventure involving a long dead assassin and a slightly off woman who lived in a tree house.
As he came up to the dig, it was obvious it was all ready under way.
A man in a white hat came up to greet him.
"Dr. Jones, so glad you could make it!"
"Yes, well I had a bit to get here, tell me everything."
Hands were shook and they began. They were in some sort of cave, according to the man in the white hat, it had shown up just weeks previous when they were doing a scan of the area. He said no one had noticed it before until a small earthquake in the area moved about some rocks showing the entrance.
Ever since then they'd been sending men in to dig it out, so far very little had been found.
But a few artifacts they'd never thought they'd see.
And with the sword of King Arthur safely within the confines (as much as he knew) of the British Museum, it made sense that more relics of the time would be showing up.
It's just how the world worked.
As they came to the end of the cave, they were greeted by an excited young woman with thick rimmed glasses "We've broken thr-" she stopped when she saw Indy and suddenly flushed "Dr. Jones, I'm Maria."
"Maria Thicke, yes, I've heard of you, you've broken through, through what?"
The girl smiled "There was an odd formation of rocks" she began to walk "covering what looks like a long tunnel almost straight down."
Indy nodded and looked straight down "Do we have a light source?"
"See that's the thing, something seems to be... glowing."
He turned to her and looked again and there was an odd sorta bluish glow
coming from the bottom of the tunnel "All right." He removed his jacket and asked for a rope, taking no time in securing it around his waist he made sure that it was attached to something strong and began his way down the tunnel.
It was a long trek and when he hit bottom he could no longer hear the voices from above.
"Hmm."
He removed the rope belt and immediately took note of the glow.
It was coming from a wall.
A wall surrounded by antique boxes with a familiar seal "King Arthur" he laughed and went to them.
When he got near them, he felt his insides began to churn a bit, he ignored the feeling and started digging in the wall.
Half expecting a trap of some sort, he was surprised to find that the wall came apart rather easily, holding only one treasure to his eyes.
A spear.
A odd, gold plated, glowing, spear.
He tugged on the rope, indicating to the others to send people down.
He had a sinking feeling that this was only the beginning.
