Evelyn sighed in frustration at the thought of the young man who had promised to train her a few weeks after she'd been accepted into the agency. Unfortunately, she hadn't seen him again after that day.
"Barely any. I've been shown a gun and a knife and the sort, but never been taught how to actually handle them."

Sydney quickly unholstered her gun and handed it to her, grip first. "Can you tell me the make, model and caliber of this firearm?" she asked calmly.

Evelyn squinted her eyes as she carefully examined the gun.
"Looks like a 9mm and that's about as much as I can tell you. Though I'm not entirely sure it is a 9mm..."

Sydney nodded. "Alright. We've got a lot of training to do..." She glanced at her watch. "I'm currently involved in a police investigation so today, I don't have time. But I'll meet you at the shooting range on the weekend at 8 A.M. Dress comfortably," Sydney said, getting up and taking the gun from her hands.
She immediately holstered her weapon, grabbed her coat and collected her things. "I've got some business to take care of so I have to go. If you don't have a room, you're welcome to stay here for the time being," Sydney offered, walking towards the door with her case file.

Evelyn smiled and thanked Syd, telling her she would see whether she could properly secure a room of her own soon, not wanting to bother Syd with her constant presence.
"Good luck with your business!" she called out as Syd left the room.
