"But it's all true! And she'll be back, in time to kill the Jabberwock, and everyone will be safe again."

"I really hope so" Jay called "because from where I'm standing you simply sound crazy" he downed a small bottle of whiskey and coughed.
"I know that Sarah's a witch, I've seen her power. And I knew something odd was going on with her, when her hair started to change and she began talking in her sleep, but I just figured it was the side effects of her magic. Part of me wants to believe you, but the other part of me thinks you've lost your mind, that you are Sarah, not- whoever you are."

"Oh, I am mad. We're all mad in Wonderland. But I am not her, and she is not me. We simply look like each other because that's how the cards fell in our respective worlds."

"If figured you'd say that" he sighed.

"But it's so! And I'm also the princess of Genovia and I run a ranch and I'm Catwoman. In other worlds."

"I have no idea about any of that mam" he leaned his head against a window and sighed "I just want Sarah back."

"It will happen. Have patience. She's on a journey of discovery, you know. Those things take time. Until she returns, I'm to look after you, and I'm afraid I've done a terrible job of it. For that I apologize."

"Can't I see her?"
He turned around "Just to know this is all real?"

She blinked.
"Well, I suppose. The veil here seems to be rather thin, from what I've learned. I could scry on Wonderland."

"Scry?"

"Divination. It's magic that let's you see people and places that are far away, or not even on this plane. Hmm. Haven't done one of those in years. Should be good practice."

"Please" he moved over to her and grabbed her hands "if this is real, I must know that Sarah's all right, and you're not insane."

She sighed, some of her perpetual good cheer slipping.
"The Queen is not any more mad than her subjects. It is only a moment of my time."
With that, she started working on it, clearing out her little cauldron before filling it with water and starting to sprinkle it with various powders as she chanted.

He watched carefully, holding his hands together.

After some moments of chanting, she stopped, and peered into the water intently as the surfaced wavered. Finally, it stilled, and she stood back and swept a hand at it.
On the surface of the water could clearly be seen Sarah, who seemed to be in the midst of sword training using a dummy as target practice.
