Once her tent was up, Amala brought her pack in started unpacking some of the things inside. It wasn't going to be a permanent camp, no, and she didn't want to pull out all of her stuff when she wouldn't need to. She came out with several cooking bowls to see Ailwen already at work.
"Oh! That's fantastic...and it'll make dinner happen that much faster."
She set down the bowls by the cooking area and tapped her foot thoughtfully.
"I think I'll leave our preserved stores alone for now and gather something fresh to spice it up with."

Maya hurried a bit through the whole unpacking procedure with her own stuff, wanting to check out the flora right now, even though they weren't going anywhere. It was just so exciting to see so much that was new to catalogue...
The mage popped back out of the tent as Amala voiced her thoughts.
"Can I come? I wanted to examine some of the species I saw--they don't grow anywhere in Thedas that I've read or heard of."

Ailwen nodded in Amala's direction, a hint of a smile gracing her face. "Finnbarr's a good companion, and I'd have gone hungry before this without him. We've got some salt, but if you know what'll go better, I thought I might roast them."
Stew took longer and required more ingredients.

Edie decided to stay with the camp, securing any non secured ropes on the tents and keeping things organized. It was something she enjoyed it honestly, she was used to having to do everything everyone else needed her to do.
If there was one thing she was good at, it was taking orders.

Amala smiled.
"I always wished I could have an animal companion, but it never really happened. But it's good to know have another set of eyes and ears with us."

Zevran had taken to following the other elves around, helping where he could while trying not to give Ailwen more reason to fuss over him. The pain was almost completely dulled now, and what was left he had already gotten used to. Even so, he knew he wasn't going to get off the hook that easily, so he took it easy just for the sake of the others nerves.
In the end, when there was nothing else to do but wait for food to be ready he fell into step next to Edie. Though Zevran had promised himself (and Ailwen) to take it easy on the innocent ones he was still a man who just loved attention. Not to mention his love of making young girls blush.
"So Miss Edie," he started conversationally, "Tell me about this place we are headed to. I must admit I am rather curious."

"Oh" she turned about, a little startled at his presence, and dropped the blanket she was taking to Amras's tent. Bending down she picked it up quickly "I'm not exactly sure either, I've never been to Paris."
She opened up Amras's tent and set the blanket down neatly next to a couple of books piled up. Eyeing them, she noticed his signature on the top of each of them Hrm.
"But Amras has, he goes there once a year he said."

Maya had already started collecting some of the unfamiliar plants growing around the campsite, completely in her own little world and humming quietly to herself as she went about her business. She was careful not to just rip one out of the ground, but instead preserved the entire bit of flora and wrapped it carefully in a small glass container before placing it in her pack.

Amras had been finished setting up his tent for a while and had all ready set himself up next to the fire, staring at it almost fearfully.
He didn't fear fire, it was as natural as earth, but If one forgets all fear, one forgets life.
It was something his grandfather had said, it didn't make a whole lot of sense, but he'd held on to it.

Zevran gleefully took Edie's hand as she exited the stoic elf's tent and pulled her towards the fire, "Then we should ask him about it! I am always excited about a new story."
He practically dragged poor Edie over to the fire, intent on barraging Amras with questions about this mystical land where the Crows did not exist and more than likely could not find him.

Amala returned with the spices she'd gathered and carefully set them near the fire.
"It seems your wizard friend is quite taken with the local flora."

Zevran turned to her, easily distracted, "It seems so. I must admit I know little about her so far, as we only recently received the grace of her company."
Zevran started concocting a half-cooked plan involving mead, some casual flirts and innocent questions to get her unnerved, and then some dancing around the fire. He won't bed her (yet) but he thought it might loosen her up enough to get to know her.
"A bit too innocent for my tastes, but who knows? Perhaps there is a tigress living under those robes, yes?"
