"Sure! I've got some money in my pocket, we could go scout around for a theater and see what's playing."
The world being as it was, you really couldn't say what was or wasn't onscreen at any given point in time--you could have Gone With the Wind playing in the same place as Star Wars and Mission: Impossible 4.

Marie looked down at her watch and back up to Treszka "I've got four hours to be back here" and grinned.

She clapped her hands.
"Perfect! Most movies are an hour and a half, two hours tops. Plenty of time."
She hopped to her feet.
"Shall we?"

Grabbing up everything she had she grinned "Can we stop by my dorm, so I can put this stuff away first?"

"Oh, yeah, no problem. Lead the way."
She folded the laptop closed and put it in her backpack.

It didn't take long before they got to Marie's room, she threw her things on the bed, and then ran out.
"I don't even know where a place to see a movie is, what was it called?"

"Movie theater! I think I knew where one is. At least, I hope it's there. Things in this world get weird an awful lot."

"That's for sure, like girls appearing outta thin air and what not" she giggled.

Treszka smiled.
"I try not to. I know some people would be scared. I mostly do it where no one can see."

Treszka laughed.
"Good luck trying to catch me!"

"That's a pretty good point there" she returned the laughter.
"It's nice to talk to someone outside of the school, and someone who isn't my little sister."

It was nice just having someone to talk to, instead of longing for companionship. The whole thing with Zachaire she'd broken off, knowing full well that it wouldn't have gone anywhere. He would get over her. And she would...just, continue on as always, like her father had once.
She sighed.
"I know what you mean."
