She knew, before she even arrived, that she was off-target.
Attempting to get away from how confusing her current relationship was, Treszka had decided to go on a little trip to one of the many places she'd yet to see--Scotland. Specifically she'd been aiming for Glasgow, but somehow her teleporting was off today and she landed in London instead.
She stood confusedly glancing around her for a few seconds, as she'd had a very clear picture in her head of Glasgow and this wasn't it. In fact, it looked like the grounds of a school she didn't recognize.
"Oh, dammit, not again."
This was third time in a row her teleporting had been off-target. But because she didn't have anyone she could really discuss this with, she'd had to keep her worries to herself. It was still hard not having her parents around.

That was a first.
Her powers allowed her to see a lot of things, but teleporting girls, that was something new.
Standing up from the tree she'd settled herself under, she decided, to go talk to her, as the girl looked fairly confused and just a little upset.
Gathering up her books she walked toward her with a smile that said, I'm not an enemy, honestly I'm just an overly friendly girl that wants to make sure that you're all right.

Too late, someone had seen her. Treszka pasted on a smile, hoping it looked more friendly and less wary.
"Oh, hi! Didn't mean to disturb anyone."

Marie waved her empty hand with a laugh "Only thing you disturbed was space" she's read a science fiction book one time, were people teleported about wearing funny suits and fighting aliens. It had said something about a space time continuum and other phrases that made Marie wrinkle her nose, now, she kind of understood it.
She extended her hand rather forcefully, with a grin "Marie Bristow, welcome to London."

Marie's response spoke quite clearly that she'd seen, or guessed, how Treszka had arrived. Treszka warily shook her hand.
"Oh, god...no one is supposed to see." She said, forgetting any manners in her worry.

Marie laughed and released the shocked girls hand "Don't worry, I 'aven't anyone to tell" cocking her head to the side "you aren't from space are you?"

Treszka blinked. She didn't look that strange, did she?
"I'm from Paris."

"Oh good, because then I might 'ave been a little taken back" she laughed "I'm from Paris too! I mean, I know I got this silly 'ittle accent n'all, but really me father runs a shelter there. And you still 'aven't told me your name."

"Oh, uh, yeah. Everyone thinks I'm American, but I learned English from mom who was an American in Paris, so...heh. Don't sound like I'm from there, either.
Um. Treszka von Wittelsbach's my name."
She had long ago adopted that last name in the face of having nothing else to call herself, and it was a lot less recognizable than the alternative Hapsburg. Rudolf could have that one, thanks.
Oh, god, I haven't thought of him in years. I wonder how he and Rebecca are?
"Sorry. It's just...I was raised to keep that a secret. It's not safe to spread it around."

Marie made a zipping line against her lips "Your secrets safe with me Treszka" she made a motion toward the tree she was sitting below "care to join me?"

She smiled a bit hesitantly.
"Sure. I wanted to see a new place today, and I'm in one, even if it's not Glasgow."

"You know" she began as she turned toward the tree "I've got a secret myself."

"Oh? Well, believe me, I don't tell secrets."
She knew plenty enough that it would likely get some people in trouble to pass them along.

She laughed "Me either, in fact" she plopped down in front of the tree "other than my Papa and my sister, no one knows I have a secret. See-" she looked around and nodded for her to sit down "-I can read your mind."
((Marie's powers are more pronounced than Johns, I haven't figured out just why yet.))

Treszka sat down, glancing at her curiously.
"Oh yeah? Like, always, or only when you concentrate? Uh, but don't read mine. Like I said, I keep secrets."
