"I suppose it would be different. Adi always played, but then she was borrowing my clothes, and we didn't really have a mother keeping her in line. As you may have gathered, she grew up into a complete heathen."

"Oh, if my Mama vould have been seeing me in such sings, I am think she vould have had heart attack, not sat I vould have been against it."
She thought about it for a moment, and what she was saying was true. Not that she'd had a bad childhood, the complete opposite of course, but what she wouldn't have given to have been able to go out and hunt with the boys, or play like them.
She enjoyed her place in life however, and enjoyed the freedom that she was given as a female. Even if it was to be kept quiet.

"Terribly" she smiled "but you vould not be out of place" she shrugged and took a slightly larger bite of food than she should have, and attempted to wash it down with her drink.

"I mean, I'm disgustingly rich. My fortune has to be charming even where I am not," he teased. He knew full well that was not a concern for her.

"Sen you have figured out my dasterdly scheme sen?" She asked, using her best imitation of a high society woman.
She may have been in the same class as one, but it was most obvious that she loathed it. Not that she wanted to wade about in the mud either, but she would have liked it very much if she could be left alone to read, or to do something productive.
