"But in Paris...what's he doing here? My family's in England."
It left her so off-balance that she couldn't really think of anything else at the moment.

"He's looking for you."

Lucy blinked at her, not sure she'd heard right.
"What?" She said, half-laughing.
"Why would they do that? They don't give a damn."

"Well he seems to" she shrugged "he seems... overly nice, you know? Like an idealistic hero, sweet but strong et cetera."

She stared, again, realizing how many times she'd done that this conversation but not sure how else to respond.
"I barely remember any of them, and what I do remember, well..."
She was starting to get emotional, which she didn't like. Lucy prided herself on the fact that she wasn't one of those hysterical types that cried all the time. She suddenly got angry, at herself, as she blinked the tears that threatened.
"Why now? Why care now? It's been--" She took a deep breath, cutting off a sob.

She didn't really believe that, not based on her memories. It had to be something else.
"Well...I bet they'd be so happy to find me where I am now, eh?" She said, then gave a rather cynical laugh.
"But it's all right, I understand, don't shoot the messenger. Hmm...well. Since you're here. Do you need anything?"
She was, after all, still a hostess of sorts.

Laughing she shook her head "No I'm all right, look here's where he's staying" she took out a piece of paper and wrote down the hotel and his room number.
"I don't care what you do with the information I gave you" she shrugged "I'm going to get mildly drunk and pass out, ciao."
She waved her hand and started heading back where she came in.

"All right, thanks." She watched Madison go for a moment, than glanced down at the paper in her hand. Briefly, she flashed back to a time several years ago, in The Dregs, when a certain doctor left her his address. The though of him, he who'd she'd thought behind her, caught her off-guard, and she sighed. There were still a lot of mixed feelings there. Tucking the paper into a fold of the dress, she turned around and headed out to the elephant .
