Or they don't.
Lex slammed his fists in to his desk with a loud grunt.
His prototype wasn't coming along as well as he'd like it to, the language setting was causing it to speak german with an Irish accent. It wasn't right, nothing was going right.
It wasn't helping that the world had basically become a god damn hippie commune after the atrocities of the Time Square disaster.
Everyone was holding hands, and singing songs and Lex honestly couldn't stand it. Not because it was happening, but because he wasn't the one who did it. Not that he wanted to be the worlds savior, but at least look like one.
Now Veidt's coming out of the shadows as the reibuilder of the world. People are latching on to his alternative energy sources and for the people ideals and-
"Ugh" he laid his head on his desk and stared at a robotic arm twitching in front of him. "Why can't it ever be ME?!"
It was childish of him to think that way he knew, but no one was about to tell him any differently. Standing up he headed toward a table where an android laid skinless under a bright light. It was a grizzly sight to anyone other than himself.
Technically the body before him was alive. There was blood pumping to it's artifical heart and it's mostly human brain was functioning normally. He'd put it in a coma when it started speaking German.
No one would believe a German speaking Lex Luthor.
If his plans were to work out, he had to get this just right.
His bunker was ready and fuctioning, his fake terrorists ready to die for him. His story down pact.
Sighing he laid his head against the chest of the android and listened to the beating of it's heart.
"This will work out."
