... not that he's needed rn anyway but iduncurr.
Full Name: Djem Zizim
Fandom: POTO, original, other (specify)? The Borgias
Age: 26screw the historical narrative
Build: Athletic? Idk
Hair: Dark
Eyes: Black
Nationality: Maybe kinda sorta the pretender to the throne of the Ottoman Empire, so.
Job: Exile?
Personality: Debonair, cultured, not necessarily trusting but maybe a little too warm and friendly for somebody chilling at Casa Borgia. He strives to be an honorable and faithful person, but he's pretty ruthless in cases of warmaking or intrigue. (Which you'd have to be.) He enjoys hunting and writing poetry, among other pleasurable pursuits. That sounded dirty. Djem is also cheerfully multicultural, quite proud of Ottoman culture and... well he was willing to share it before somebody tried to smother him with a cushion, asshole.
Life Story (as much as you want us to know):
Djem is the second son of Sultan Mehmed II (as in, Mehmed the Conqueror, as in, "dude who banged Vlad Tepes' brother".) His older half-brother, Bayezid, governed alongside him for a little while until the death of their father. Bayezid might have been the first born, but Djem was the first child born after his father had actually ascended the throne and considered himself to have the superior claim. Naturally there was an immediate power struggle, and, fearing for his life, Djem fled to Europe. He found shelter in various states, hoping to drum up support to retake power. Eventually he found himself in Rome -- ostensibly an ambassador to the sketchy-ass court of Pope Alexander VI, but more or less a hostage. Bayezid happened to be paying a healthy sum to make sure Djem was as far away from the throne he was pretender to as possible. 'Dead' would also be good, but Rodrigo is absolutely wounded by the insinuation. Nevertheless, his hosts treated him graciously and Djem felt comfortable extending friendly overtures to the rest of the Borgia family. (Being particularly struck by Lucrezia.) Everything was going awesomely until there was a certain matter of attempted murder.Which he managed to evade, because Juan is shitty at smothering people I mean really boy, and now he is ON THE LAM
