"Have you ever been to bed with a man?"

"Uh-" he caught his reply in his throat "I-, well, I experimented in, college, I mean everyone did-"

Considerably more solemnly, he said, "Have you ever done it with Adrian?"

Dan visibly reddened "I'm afraid not, I mean-"
Shit.

"Why not?" said Adrien, visibly surprised although almost a bit relieved. "I mean - you - " He lowered his eyes, then looked up at him after a moment and said in a low voice, "you seemed betrayed the same way I felt, at - at the place. And the way you touched..."

Dan smiled "Sometimes, people can feel for someone else for a long time, and never quite understand what it means, or what those emotions really are. Sometimes it takes years before you realize exactly what it was that you'd been feeling."
He looked away "And it usually takes something big to happen, before you figure it out, you understand?"

Adrien slid off his lap uncomfortably. "....you love my husband."

"Loved" he admitted, hearing it out loud, he realized, made it all the more real, and it caused him to catch his breath in his throat. "I don't know how I feel anymore, I'm- I'm sorry" he stood up and walked across the room. "I never said anything to anyone before because, well I don't really know. I never told Adrien because I didn't want to ruin a perfectly good friendship."

Adrien looked very peeved and insecure, and looked down at the carpeting, beginning to fidget. After a long, tense moment of this, he hopped up and ran up the stairs. He didn't want to make Dan feel guilty, but he didn't want to crossly shout, "Well, why don't you take him" because he still wanted him. And yet he couldn't tell Dan, "Hands off!" because if he still wanted him, why had he hung up on him?

Dan spun around to reach out for him, but he was up the stairs before he could get completely around.
Heaving a sigh he fell back in to the couch and took off his glasses, dropping them on the coffee table, before pressing his hands in to his eyes.
He felt moisture and pulled his hands away.
"God Dammit."
He had been trying to keep back the tears for days now, now they came, like rain.
