*Dracula glimpsed around the hotel room as if confused by his surroundings. He was confused, but not by the decor. He had been on the stairs, ready to interrupt the girl and whatever she had been doing that so interested Gabriel. And then he just...wasn't. He'd found himself back at his castle, but his brides were nowhere to be found. It was overall strange and off-putting. Instead of sulking remaining in the empty castle, he decided to be proactive and get a private suite elsewhere.
It was likely for the best. Perhaps he had misjudged the girl as the weak link. There was obviously something going on that he had not prepared for. He decided that it would be best to do some research into potential causes of such a displacement before attempting again. And so he set to filling the room with parchments, spells and all matter of dusty tomes.*

***LATER***
*Dracula had been at it for days, sorting and sifting and reading and searching, but he still seemed no closer to an answer than he had been when he started. It vexed him terribly. In his irritated state, his body had tensed at the sound. It was sharp pop, almost like a crack of electrical current. He looked up sharply, but saw no one. He was about to return to his papers when he heard it again. This time he actually saw a small spark. It had manifested seemingly in the air. He couldn't help but wonder what sort of anomaly would cause that. Again, it popped, it's light brighter. Dracula's eyes narrowed as he thought to approach it.
There was a loud crack, an enveloping flash and he vanished.*
